William Oliver Nutt; 82; of Stockdale; passed away Jan. 22; 2011; in Leesburg; Fla. He was the son of the late Claude and Blanche Nutt. He was also preceded in death by his brother; Claude Nutt; and daughter; Diane. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1952 and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport. He is survived by his wife; Audrey; son and daughter-in-law; William and Joyce Nutt; granddaughter; Rachel Hoffman and family; Joyce’s daughters; Christy Mudry and family; and Lindsey Lawson and family. Services will be held in Leesburg; Fla.; and a memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.

Donna Auther; 96; of Fayette City; died Thursday; Feb. 12; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.; Carroll Township. She was born March 18; 1912; in Fayette City; the daughter of the late William H. McCready and the late Rachel (Overland) McCready. She was a retired postal worker for the U.S. Postal Service in Fayette City. Mrs. Auther was the last remaining member of the first graduating class of Fayette City High School. She was a member of the Fayette City Senior Women’s Club; a charter member of Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post No. 484 Ladies Auxiliary; EOS Class of the Fayette City Methodist Church; the former Fayette City Community Building Board; Mt. Auburn Cemetery Board and the Perryopolis Senior Travel Club. She is survived by one son; Richard Auther III; one daughter and two sons-in-law; Kay and Daniel Hanrahan; of Memphis; Tenn.; and William Sneller; of Ketchikan; Ark.; one sister; Grace Breckenridge; of Fayette City; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Auther; and a daughter; Jean Sneller. Ruth Brown; 94; of; Washington Township; Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Feb. 2; 2010; in Nevaeh Cove PCH; Charleroi. She was born Nov. 13; 1915; in Rostraver Township; daughter of the late Benjamin F. Warner; Sr. and the late Emma J. Barker Warner. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fayette City; where she was organist for over 50 years. She worked for Nix Optical in Charleroi until she retired at the age of 79. She won many first and second place ribbons at the Fayette County Fair for her crocheted items; especially her beautiful afghans. Surviving are 2 sisters; Dorothy Reich; of Charleroi; Evelyn Paulman; of Belle Vernon; brother; George Warner and wife; Martha; of Independence; Mo. Also survived by 22 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; James T. Alfred A. Ferrari; 87; of Speers; died Sunday; June 8; 2008; in Washington County Health Center. He was born Jan. 31; 1921; in Vesta; son of the late Domenico and Assunta Orsucci Ferrari. He was a member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish of Charleroi; was vice president of the Mon Valley Progress Council since 1965 and was instrumental in the building of the Mon/Fayette Expressway. Mr. Ferrari was retired as General Manager of Dravo Corp. Keystone Division in Charleroi. Surviving are one daughter; Emma Jean Ferrari; one grandson; George Scott Procko; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his former wife; Catherine Cosner Ferrari; five brothers; Charles; Reno; Nello; William and Albert Ferrari; and five sisters; Carobina Niccolai; Minnie Mazzie; Charlotte Pardiny; Lena Mazzei; and Jean Pantaleo.
