Carolina (Tomalski) Kelemen; 89; of Ascot Lane; Torrington died Saturday; February 6; 2010 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank Kelemen.

Born July 26; 1920 in Belle Vernon; PA; she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Yanick) Tomalski. She is survived by one son; Frank Kelemen and daughter-in-law Kathie of Torrington; CT; three sisters; Kay Satoran; Mary Vargo and Betty Polinchak as well as several nieces and nephews.

Anthony P. Semancik Sr.; 81; of South Orange; N.J.; formerly of Fayette City; died Wednesday; Feb. 18; 2009; in Runnells Specialized Hospital; Berkley Heights; N.J. Born Feb. 17; 1928; in Washington Township; he was the son of the late Michael P. and Elizabeth (Gurbal) Semancik. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon; having previously been a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Church in Fayette City before its closing. Mr. Semancik was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Coke Plant; where he was employed for 49 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Fayette City American Legion Post No. 484. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Anthony P. Jr. and Charlene Semancik; of South Orange; two brothers; Steve and Joseph Semancik; of Belle Vernon; and one daughter and son-in-law; Julia and Oscar Kluh; of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his wife; Ann M. (Sobek) Semancik; on Dec. 2; 2002; five brothers; Albert; Andrew; Michael; Frank Sr. and John Semancik; and one sister; Mary Miller. Eloise Crosby; 95; of Monessen; passed away Wednesday; March 4; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Dec. 21; 1913; in Latrobe; a daughter of the late Harry E. and Esther Dunlap Harman. Mrs. Crosby was a beautician for many years; owning and operating her own shop . She attended of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Monessen and was a member of the Latrobe and Mon Valley Art Clubs. Mrs. Crosby enjoyed painting and drawing and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Monessen. She also was an avid bowler and card player and had belonged to various leagues and clubs. Surviving are two sons; Dayne R. and wife Joan Crosby of Monessen; and ; Richard and wife Marianne Crosby; of California; three grandsons; Shawn and wife Tara Crosby; Chad Crosby; and Nathan Crosby; two great-grandchildren; Shawn and Kayle Crosby. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard J. Crosby; and brothers; Jerome Harman and Oliver Harmon; and a sister; Adele Prazitz. George P. Howarth Sr.; 85; of Pricedale; passed away Sunday; Feb. 14; 2010; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. A son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Morgan Howarth; he was born April 26; 1924; in Monessen. He had resided in Pricedale since 1933; was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; and retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company after 38 years of service. Survivors include his wife; Elsie Locke Howarth; with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage on Nov. 22; 2009; two sons and daughters-in-law; George P. and Kathleen Musial Howarth; of Monessen; and Jack and Charity Howarth; of Cincinnati; Ohio; one sister; Margaret Lisser; of Jacksonville; and one grandson; Taylor Howarth. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry and John Howarth.
