Charles K. Males; 91; of Monongahela; went home to be with his Lord on Monday; Feb. 24; 2014; in Washington Hospital. Born in Donora on Dec. 11; 1922; he was the son of the late Robert and Martha (Wall) Males. Charles worked for U.S. Steel in Donora and later in Cleveland where he retired. He also retired from the Belle Vernon Postal Service. A member of the former Donora Gospel Hall; he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife; Mary A. (Stanko) Males; daughters; Bonita (Joe) Anders of Monongahela and Ardith (Jim) Smith of Fort Myers; Fla.; four grandchildren; Jason (Becca) Anders; Stephen (Joy) Anders; James (Amber) Smith and Bethany Smith; five great-grandchildren; and sister; Iva Sowers of South Carolina. Althea P. Heath; 89; of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; June 18; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late William and Minnie Kissler Pocky; she was born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 18; 1919. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Althea was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was a member for more than 49 years and past president of the Belle Vernon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and John Zunic; of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Kimberly Zunic; John William Zunic and fiance Jennifer Mohn; and Eric Zunic; one great-grandson; Bradley Heath Orr; one brother-in-law; Fred Schmidt; of Belle Vernon; one sister- in-law; Margaret Louis; of Fairless Hills; and several nieces and nephews; including Melva Pocky; of Pittsburgh; Carole Chacko; of Charleroi; and Albert M. Pocky; of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William R. Heath; on Jan. 18; 2008; two children in infancy; Patty and Sandra Heath; and three brothers; William Pocky Jr.; Albert Pocky and Henry Pocky. Sophie B. Phillips Lynn; 93; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Saturday; Oct. 29; 2011; at 8:55 p.m. at Victoria House; Monessen. Born Dec. 11; 1917; in Republic; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Bester Phillips. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Lynn was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a retired housekeeper. The last surviving member of her immediate family; she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Hamilton H. Lynn Jr. and wife; Mary; of Louisville; Ky.; five daughters and three sons-in-law; Mary Ann and Rudy LaBraska; of DuBois; Betty Jean Boord; of Charleroi; Roberta and William Franks; of Belle Vernon; Veronica Toman; of Monessen; and Gloria and Ronald Alonzo; of Belle Vernon; who was also her caregiver; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Hamilton H. Lynn Sr.; on June 5; 1988; two sons; Robert Lynn and John Lynn; and numerous brothers and sisters. Evelyn D. Sethman; 83; formerly of Belle Vernon; current resident of Westmoreland Manor; Greensburg; died Tuesday; Feb. 15; 2011; in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital; Greensburg. She was born Aug. 12; 1927; in Newell; daughter of the late Carl and Clara Mae (Kinney) Dunlop. Evelyn lived most of her life in Belle Vernon; Arnold City area. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and loved playing bingo at the Manor. She treasured all the stuffed animals she had won. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son; William Sethman; three sisters; Helen Bronson; Betty Skurla and Ruth Kott; and a brother; Howard Dunlop. Evelyn is survived by her three sons; Barry Sethman and his wife; Denise; of Reno; Nev.; Charles K. Sethman and his wife; Annie; and Terry Sethman and his wife; Bonnie; of Irwin; a daughter; Debra Nichols and her husband; Wayne; of Belle Vernon; two brothers; John Dunlop and his wife; Sue; and Carl Dunlop and his wife; Joanne; both of Belle Vernon; a sister; Linda Chovan; of Utica; N.Y.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
