John J. Kinik; 94; of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; July 3; 2008; in Havencrest Nursing Home; Carroll Township. Born July 28; 1913; in Pricedale; he was the son of the late John and Julia Contz Kinik. A resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Kinik was Catholic by faith. He was a retired coal miner from Republic Steel Corp. Mr. Kinik was a member of UMW-District 2 and the Hungarian Beneficial Society of Pricedale. He is survived by his wife; Albina Mauser Kinik; to whom he was married for 42 years; and a niece; Joan Beres; of Perryopolis. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Susan Lubati Kinik; three brothers; Steve; Frank and Gaber Kinik; five sisters; Julia Kinik; Helen Kinik; Mary Drill; Mildred Varney and Bertha Frick; and three nephews; Steve; Robert and Kenneth Kinik. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6l83). Thelma F. Mason Bobbs; 85; of Clarksville; PA; formerly of Vestaburg; died on Monday; November 17; 2008; in The Greenery; Canonsburg.
Mrs. Bobbs was born on June 26; 1923; in Centerville; PA; a daughter of the late Henry Mason and Florence Marshall Mason.
She was a homemaker; who enjoyed puzzle books; especially the word searches and sitting on the back porch taking in the neighborhood.
Mrs. Bobbs was a member of the Beth-Center Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are two grandsons: Jason G. Detrick and his wife; Heather of Clarksville; Jacob G. Bobbs and his wife; Amanda of Vestaburg; one granddaughter; Jessica L. Lawrence and her husband; Brad of Vestaburg; five great-grandchildren: Jason and Madison Detrick of Clarksville and Jacob and Bryce Bobbs of Vestaburg and Acie Lawrence of Vestaburg; one sister; Evelyn (Babe) Westich and her husband; Paul of Fredericktown; and one brother; Bob Mason and his wife; Shirley of Vestaburg and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents is her husband; Edgar G. (Bud) Bobbs who died on December 18; 1978; one daughter; Sharon L. Bobbs Detrick who died on January 10; 1985; one son; Barry G. Bobbs who died on September 14; 1996 and one brother; Ralph Mason who died on December 12; 1988.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME; 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road; Fredericktown; PA.; where funeral services will be held on Thursday; November 20; 2008 at 11 AM with Pastor John Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery; Belle Vernon; PA.
