A daughter of the late William J. and Ida Burgan Wilson; she was born in Monessen Nov. 26; 1941. Carol Ann graduated from Monessen High School in 1959. A loving daughter; sister; wife; mother and grandmother; she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Heather C. and Michael Yusko of Pittsburgh; three sons and daughters-in-law; Mark V. and Abby Shankle of Manchester; Kevin S. and Susan Shankle of Worcester; Mass. and Sean and Kristin Odell of Pittsburgh; one sister; Jacqueline Wilcox of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; the Rev. Dr. Robert W. Odell in 1992; and one brother; William V. Wilson in 2008. After having suffered for some time with ill health; William Victor Wilson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday; Sept. 6; 2008. He was born in Stockdale; raised in Monessen and made his home in Georgetown; Mass. He received degrees from Bob Jones and Syracuse universities and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; to name a few. While living in Utica; N.Y.; he taught high school English for 25 years in Whitesboro; N.Y. During that time; he especially enjoyed working with the honors class and teaching a course in Bible literature. William was an accomplished musician; actor; preacher and teacher. He was an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church. Most significantly; he was a devoted and beloved son; brother; uncle and friend. William was preceded in death by his parents; William J. Wilson and Ida Burgan Wilson. He is survived by a dear friend; Ronald A. Quay; two sisters; Carol Wilson Odell and Jacqueline Wilcox and husband Robert; three nephews; Kevin Shankle and wife Susan; Mark Shankle and wife Abbey; and Sean Wilson Odell and wife Kristin; one niece; Heather Yusko and husband Michael; great-nieces; Megan Erika; Rebecca; Emilee; Mary Kate and Allysa; great-nephews; Scott; Joshua and Matthew; great-great-niece; Alexa; and great-great-nephew; Isaiah. John E. ‘Sammy’ James Jr.; 82; of Monessen; died Sunday; Sept. 7; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born May 22; 1926; in Donora; he was the son of the late John Sr. and Irene (Phillips) James. Sammy served with the United States Army in 1945 and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant; with 25 years service. He is survived by three daughters: Karen Duncan; of Donora; Yvonne Wheeler; of Columbus; Ohio; and LoRae Frezzell; of Alexandria; Va.; three sons: Keith (Arlene) James; of Rockford; Ill.; Eric (Terri) James; of Carroll Township; and Damon (Jo) Hooks; of Monessen; one sister: Donna Allen; of Clairton; two brothers: Richard (Wanetta) James; of Donora; and Jerry James; of Rochester; N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
