Carolyn Lemon; 67; of Pittsburgh; formerly of Pricedale; departed from this earth for another land. Sister Carolyn closed her eyes in her last sleep on Tuesday; July 8; 2008; in Allegheny General Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born February 17; 1941; in Pricedale; a daughter of the late Matthew and Georgia Lemon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one brother; Clarence Lemon; and two sisters; Patsy Moore and Geraldine Williamson. She leaves to cherish her memories five children; Dianne Lemon; of Philadelphia; and Roy (LaShawn); Kimberly; Taru and Matthew (Tamara) Lemon; all of Pittsburgh; two sisters; Constance Johnson; of Maryland; and Charlene Prunty; of Donora; one brother; Charles (JoAnne) Lemon; of Chicago; 11 grandsons; one granddaughter; and five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Carolyn will be forever loved and missed. Ann Kermes Parilak; 83; of Rostraver Township; died Tuesday; July 8; 2008; at the home of her son; Joseph; in Colfax; W.Va. Born in Redstone Township on July 1; 1925; she was the daughter of the late Steve and Patricia Zbyvatel Kermes. Ann was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company and later worked at the Bettis Plant of Westinghouse. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township and its Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law; James Michael Parilak; of Norfolk; Va.; Joseph Edward and Lisa Parilak; of Colfax; W.Va.; and Dr. Leonard David Parilak; of Las Vegas; Nev.; a daughter; Laura Bagdadi and husband Ariel; of Scottsdale; Ariz.; three grandchildren; Abreonna and Adalynn Parilak and Lucas Bagdadi; and two sisters; Agnes Nicholas; of Pittsburgh; and Margie Kushak; of Uniontown. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Leonard Regis Parilak; in 1997; and seven brothers and two sisters. Pauline Kuzman; 85; of Monessen; passed away Wednesday; July 9; 2008; in her home. A daughter of the late John and Alice Huber Delp; she was born in West Virginia on April 5; 1923. A resident of Monessen for the past 56 years; she was a member of the Pricedale Union Church. Pauline worked at the former Piggy Wiggy Roller Rink for many years and then worked in the cafeteria at the Monessen Elementary Center for 15 years until her retirement in 1986. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and Dan Weibl and Kelly and John Blacka; all of Belle Vernon; two sons and daughters-in-law; Paul and Michelle Kuzman; of Yukon; and Kevin and Terry Kuzman; of Fallowfield Township; two granddaughters; Danielle Weibl and Madison Blacka; two sisters-in-law; Josephine Kuzma and Mary Morgart; both of Monessen; and one brother-in-law; Roland Coulter; of Fallowfield Township. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Michael Kuzman; on April 5; 1998; and three sisters; Agnes Delp; Ursaline MacDonald and Jean Coulter. Emily M. Brazon; 85; of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood); died Tuesday; July 8; 2008; in South Hills Health System; Jefferson Center; Pleasant Hills. She was born November 15; 1922; in Charleroi; a daughter of the late John Petrak and the late Anna Kristoff Petrak. She was a member of St. Joseph National Catholic Church in Belle Vernon (Fairhope). Surviving are two exceptionally devoted sons; Dr. David J. Brazon and Tami; of Belle Vernon; and Dr. Richard A. Brazon and wife Barbara; of Wilkes- Barre; sister; Ethel Zubritsky; of Monessen; and her four special grandchildren; Kristen; Stephen; Eric and Brian; all of whom were her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her husband; Walter Brazon; on April 1; 1995; daughter; Barbara A. Brazon; on October 24; 1988; and three sisters; Helen; Marie and Anna. FRANK RAWLINS
Frank Rawlins; 81; of Monessen; was called home to rest on Sunday; May 10; 2009; in Monongahela Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born Feb. 8; 1928; in Elizabeth; N.J.; he was the son of the late Frank and Inez Rawlins. Frank retired with 45 years of service as a laborer and grievance man; having worked at Pages Mill in Monessen. He was a member of Wayman-Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church in Monessen for 65 years and served as a trustee in the church. Frank served aboard the USS North Carolina with the United States Navy and received the World War II Victory Medal. He also was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 79 and a lifetime member of the Elks. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years; Catherine (Nouchy) Rawlins; five daughters; Jennifer (Richard) Frazier; of Monongahela; Kathleen Hatcher-Rawlins and D’Juna Tansmore; both of Pittsburgh; Vicky (Floyd) Kizzie and Deborah (Howard) Reynolds; both of Monessen; two sons; Frank (Debbie) Davis and Arthur (Cynthia Lee) Tansmore; both of Monessen; one brother; Robert Rawlins; of Camarillo; Calif.; two sisters-in-law; Phyllis Harvey and Hortense (Teenie) Maddox; both of Monessen; two brothers-in-law; Arthur ‘Ricky’ Minnie Jr.; of Monessen; and Ronald (Janet) Minnie; of Pittsburgh; an extended family member; Phillip Reed; and a very close friend and brother; Jack Bergstein; both of Monessen; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
