Benjamin B. Lubecki; 91; of Manchester; Mo.; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Monday; Oct. 5; 2009; at 3:50 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Hospital; St. Louis; Mo. Born Oct. 10; 1917; in Monessen; he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Peska Lubecki. A resident of Manchester for the past three years; Mr. Lubecki was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church; Monessen; and was a retired mill wright from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Marcia Lubecki and Phil Smith of Sunnyvale; Calif.; three sons and their spouses; Ben and Linda Lubecki of Manchester; Mo.; Rick and Beverly Lubecki of Belle Vernon; and Ray and Chuck Higgins Lubecki of Boston; Mass.; six grandchildren; Jeffrey Lubecki; Loriann Neighbors; Jimmy Lubecki; Lindsay Anness; Stacey Sanders; and Teri Smith; eight great- grandchildren; Jacob Lubecki; Kayla Lubecki; Benjamin Lucier; Sadie Jo Lucier; Lauryn Lubecki; Stephen Sanders; Cassie Sanders; and Nicholas Lubecki; a brother; Edward Lubecki of Erie; and a sister-in-law; Lucilla Lubecki of Dayton; Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife; Genevieve Belczyk Lubecki on Jan. 16; 2006; and by two brothers; Thaddeus and Walter Lubecki. Dolores E. Celaschi; 77; of Speers Hill; went to be with the Lord Wednesday; Dec. 15; 2010; surrounded by her family in the Donnell House; Washington. A daughter of the late Albert and Leona Shepler Evans; she was born in Rostraver Township on Nov. 12; 1933. She was a member of the Speers United Methodist Church; the Speers Civic Club; the Wednesday Night Card Club and a former member of the Charleroi Order of Eastern Star. A resident of Speers Hill for the past 50 years; she; along with her late husband Tucker; had owned and operated Jay’s Tavern in Allenport. Dolores was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers; Penguins; and the Pirates. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law; Janet and Burt Williams; of Phoenix; Ariz.; and Cyndi and Greg Grimm; of Allenport; one son and daughter-in-law; Norman and Dawn Celaschi; of Dunlevy; one sister; Donna Hite; of Coal Center; three grandchildren; Christopher Williams and wife; Sammy; Patrick Williams and wife; Crystal; and Jason Celaschi and friend; Jennifer Salko; one stepgrandson; Jarrik Dietz; and two great-grandchildren; Tyler and Jack Williams.
