Catherine M. Butler; 74; of Greensburg; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; July 23; 2008; in her home. A daughter of the late Jesse and Alice Weimer Ashley; she was born June 3; 1934; in Vanderbilt. Catherine was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and the 2500 Club. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law; Lorene and Jerry Adams; of Phoenix; Ariz.; Charlene Coley of Niceville; Fla.; and Darlene and Robert Kemmerer; of Greensburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law; Jeffrey and Jackie Wareham; of New Stanton; Gregory and Helen Wareham; of Rillton; and David Wareham; of Tucson; Ariz; ten grandchildren; Jamie Wareham; Joelle Clark; Eric Granlund; Alan Wareham Sr.; Jeremiah Wareham; Jessica Wareham; Zachary Wareham; Chelsea Coley; Jacob Wareham and Taylor Wareham; and seven great-grandchildren; Kelsey A.; Alan M. II and Gabriel D. Wareham; Abigail S. Granlund; Peyton L. Wareham; Lila Clark and Erik Y. Granlund. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Edward L. White; July 15; 2008; and a son in infancy; Daniel. GEORGE W. ( BUCK ) ADAMS
George W. Buck Adams; 75; of North Belle Vernon; died suddenly on Wednesday; July 23; 2008. A son of the late George K. and Helen Mae Lehew Adams; he was born in North Belle Vernon on March 14; 1933 and graduated from the former Vernon High School in 1951. Mr. Adams was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the Mon Valley A.R.C. and the N.A.L.C. He was a former member of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 and; more recently; volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Monessen. A U.S. Navy veteran; he served during the Korean Conflict. A musician; Mr. Adams played in the following bands: Belle Vernon Musical Society; Belle Vernon Drum and Bugle Corps; the Belle Vernon Community Band and the Mon Valley M.A.R.S. Concert Band. George retired in 1992 after 28 years as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Belle Vernon. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Marcia and Chris Suppo; of Greensburg; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Michael G. and Valerie Adams; of North Huntingdon; and Ronald J. Adams; at home; and three grandchildren; Sarah and Emily Adams; of North Huntingdon; and Carli Suppo; of Greensburg. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; A. Evelyn Maksa Adams; in 1998; one son; Jeffrey W. Adams; in 1966; one brother; James K. Adams; in 2002; and a sister in infancy.
