Virginia Lovas Massey; 84; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; May 25; 2009; at 5:15 a.m. at Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born April 15; 1925; in Charleroi; she was the daughter of the late Steve and Julia Erdely Lovas. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 25 years; Mrs. Massey attended the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene; Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She is survived by a son; Charles E. Massey of North Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Melissa Couch; Melinda Massey; Amanda Massey; and Sean Massey; five great grandchildren; Taylor Couch; Bradyn Massey; Kaida Massey; Cayden Massey; and Kiley Massey. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jules Massey Jr. on Jan. 5; 1979; a brother; Louis Lovas; a sister; Eleanor Koller; and a grandson; Chuckie Massey. Erma L. Keslar; 87; of Friendsville; Md.; formerly of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord on Saturday; Aug. 18; 2012; in the Western Maryland Health Center; Cumberland; Md. A daughter of the late Harry W. and A. Pearle Holliday Tressler; Erma was born June 27; 1925; in Monessen. Erma resided in the Belle Vernon area for the majority of her life. In 2009 she moved to Friendsville; Md.; to be with her daughter. Erma worked at the Kmart in Belle Vernon for 20 years and then retired to take care of her parents until they passed away. In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by a sister; Jeane Kreger; who passed away last August. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Pamela and David Livengood of Friendsville; Md.; two grandchildren; Joshua Livengood of Friendsville; Md.; and Jamie Livengood of Silver Spring; Md.; a sister; Sandy Kostelnik of New Brighton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
