Sophie H. Dudzinski Belle Vernon Sophie H. Dudzinski; 93; of Belle Vernon; passed away Sunday; Aug. 26; 2012; in Havencrest Nursing Center; Carroll Township. She was born Feb. 21; 1919; in Pittsburgh; daughter of the late John Szymanski and Anna Waniewski Szymanski. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon. She is survived by three sons; George Dudzinski and wife; Chris; Ed Dudzinski and wife; Pam; and John Dudzinski and wife; Marie; with whom she made her home; daughter; Cathy Techmeier and husband; Mark; eight grandchildren; Jonathan Dudzinski and wife; Jennifer; Jereme and Jacob Dudzinski; Stephanie Astorino and husband; Sam; Ryan Dudzinski and wife; Courtney; Amy Dudzinski; Marissa and Jessica Techmeier; and three great-grandchildren; Ava Sophie Dudzinski; Alexzander Dudzinski and Fiona Dudzinski. She was preceded in death by her husband; Bronislaw Ben Dudzinski; and infant daughter; Marisia Dudzinski. Edward T. Serwinski; 94; of Farmington; formerly of Lynnwood; died Wednesday; Dec. 12; 2012; at Golden Living Center; Uniontown. Born Aug. 30; 1918; in Everson; he was the son of the late Albert and Julia Wojtowicz Serwinski. Having previously residing in Lynnwood; Mr. Serwinski was a resident of Farmington for the past 27 years; former member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; and currently a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church; Farmington. Edward was a retired regional meat and produce specialist for the former A and P in Monessen. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army; member and past Grand Knight of the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026; an Eagle Scout and former Boy Scout Leader for St. Sebastian Troop 1543; an avid stain glass craftsman with his work appearing throughout the local counties; and he also enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife; Helen E. Roskey Serwinski; to whom he was married 69 years; son and daughter-in-law; Donald and Patricia Serwinski of Farmington; daughter and son-in-law; Carol and Carl Hughs of Rostraver Township; four grandchildren; Cheryl Fleming; Cathy Campbell; Christopher Sewinski and Ami Marie Hallam; and five great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his family of 13 children. Ronald J. Adams; 41; of North Huntingdon Township; formerly of Belle Vernon; passed away suddenly Saturday; April 23; 2011. A son of the late George W. and A. Evelyn Maksa Adams; he was born in Pittsburgh on June 21; 1969. Ron was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in North Huntingdon; and formerly a longtime member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in North Belle Vernon. He worked at the ARC of Westmoreland and previously worked at Life’s Work in Monessen and McDonald’s in Rostraver. Ron was a member of Journey to Scripture at Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin; Boy Scout Troop 1401; and enjoyed helping with Norwin girl’s travel soccer teams. Ron completed his education at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit’s New Stanton Educational Facility in 1990. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law; Marcia and Chris Suppo; of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law; Michael G. and Valerie Adams; of North Huntingdon Township; and three nieces; Sarah and Emily Adams and Carli Suppo. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a brother; Jeffrey W. Adams; in 1965.
