Emma Irene (Tomayko) Lancaster; 82; of Indiana; Pa.; formerly of Rostraver Township; passed away on Dec. 8; 2013; at Indiana Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Emma was born on Oct. 7; 1931; in Perryopolis; to Frank and Anna (Simko) Tomayko. She was united in marriage on May 3; 1952 to Glen A. Lancaster Jr. and happily married for 42 years until Glen’s death. Emma lived her life in community and her love made all our lives better. She grew up in Perryopolis; where she was active in her high school band and St John’s Catholic Church. She and her husband built their family home in the Sweeney Plan and lived there for 46 years. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church; Rostraver Township. She was one of the many Sweeney Plan Moms who directly and indirectly raised a generation of neighborhood children. In 1971; Glen and Emma joined the Peace Corps and with their two teenage children; Donald and Doris; and toddler; David; living for two years in Kingston; Jamaica (XII). The Lancaster family befriended many young volunteers. Reunions with Peace Corps volunteers at Emma’s house; and now her son Donald’s home; have continued for 42 years. After her husband’s retirement; they traveled the country in their recreational vehicle. Emma and her sister; Roseann; hosted Christmas Eve dinners in the Slovak custom of their parents; creating a cherished family tradition. She had a deep connection with friends and family sending cards and letters; seldom missing a birthday or anniversary. Emma loved social gatherings playing card games; hosting cookouts and knitting washcloths to give away. She found happiness and contentment living the last six years of her life in Clairvaux Commons in Indiana; Pa.; managed by two exceptional women; Sister Ada and Sister Marilyn. Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her brother Robert (Dorothy) Tomajko of Twinsburg; Ohio; sister; Roseann Oldham of Perryopolis; son; Donald (Dr. Faye Bradwick) Lancaster of Indiana; Pa.; daughter; Dr. Doris (Dr. Kurt Peters) Lancaster of Colorado Springs; Colo.; and son; Dr. David (Janna) Lancaster; Columbia; Mo. She has six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; Dr. Ian (Rachel) Peters and their daughter; Keira Marie; Kyle (Amy) Peters; Jason Peters; Gillian Lancaster; Leo Lancaster; and Beatrice Lancaster. Visitation will be held Friday morning Dec. 13 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church; Indiana; Pa.; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the visitation hour at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery; Belle Vernon. Margaret Madge Lepri; 76; of Bethel Park; died Friday; Aug. 23; 2013; at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 30; 1937; in North Union; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Hornak Tkach. A retired nurse anesthetist at Magee-Womens Hospital; she was a member of St. Germaine’s Church; where she was a Eucharistic minister and choir member. She also volunteered at Leland Senior Center in Baldwin and belonged to South Park Seniors. Survivors include her husband; Gordon R. Lepri; children; Anita M. (Patrick) Roth; of Pleasant Hills; and Jude J. (Sharon) Lepri; of Peters Township; grandchildren; Piper Roth; Alexander and Anthony Lepri; sister; Anne Seman; of Garfield Heights; Ohio; nieces; nephews and best friend; Audrey Undereiner. Margaret (Midge) Ducar Beaumariage; 85; of Charleroi (Fallowfield Township); died Monday; Dec. 29; 2008; in Flo’s Personal Care Home; Elco. She was born Feb. 6; 1923; in Stockdale; daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Estok Ducar. Roman Catholic by faith; she was a homemaker and former employee of the Corning Glass Plant in Charleroi. Surviving is her beloved husband of 62 years; Hubert Beaumariage; daughter Janice L. Beaumariage and her long-time companion Susan Brawdy of Bethel Park; one sister; Betty Sharp; of Lynchburg; Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother; Helen Slavonia; Ann Slavonia; Agnes Hughes and Charles Ducar. Services and interment were private in Belle Vernon Cemetery on Jan. 2; 2009. Arrangements were entrusted to CARL J.
