Lois D. Schoenholtz Burrows; 85; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; Jan. 18; 2014; at her home. Born June 7; 1928; in California; Pa.; she was the daughter of the late Teemon and Isabelle Kennedy Schoenholtz. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Burrows was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Sebastian Valley of Hope Prayer Group; the former Legion of Mary and member of the Third Order of St. Francis. Lois also drove for the Meals on Wheels program. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Edward M. Burrows Jr. and wife; Mary; of Oakton; Va.; and David Burrows and wife; Maria; of Arlington; Va.; daughter and son-in-law; Lois and Raymond Thompson of Belle Vernon; brother; Joseph Schoenholtz of New Eagle; sister; Joyce Vernet of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; Leigh Ann Kuzmovich; Mark Thompson; Kristine Jones and Edward P. Burrows; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Edward M. Burrows Sr. on Jan. 6; 1996; three brothers; Roy Schoenholtz; Loren Schoenholtz and Wesley Hines; and a sister; Lovella Galiotto. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Lois Burrows Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
