Hilda Vannucci Sefchok; 87; of Belle Vernon; crossed over peacefully on Wednesday; Dec. 7; 2011; with her husband and three children by her side. Hilda is now at home with her Lord and Savior. A daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Tredici Vannucci; she was born in Belle Vernon; on Feb. 11; 1924. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and had been the President of a Women’s Golf Club at Willowbrook. An extraordinary lady; Hilda was fun; adventuresome; creative and artistic. She loved gardening and was an antique dealer throughout her life. She enjoyed working with stained glass and helping her husband refinish old antique steamer trunks. She prided herself in her precise bookkeeping skills. Hilda retired in 1960; after 20 years with the former Lee Norse Company of Charleroi. Survivors include her husband of 63 years; Paul Sefchok; one son and daughter-in-law; David and Geri Sefchok; of Cheshire; Conn.; two daughters; Paula Sefchok and her life partner; Marc Denning; of Pompano Beach; Fla.; and Lisa Sefchok; of Champion Pa.; one sister and brother-in-law; Dena and Louis Gazza; of Belle Vernon; one granddaughter; Sarah Sefchok; of Cheshire; Conn.; and two nieces; Jayne Gazza Kelly and Janet Gazza Pietrus. N. Paul Sefchok; 90; crossed over peacefully on Saturday; August 24; 2013; at his home with his loving children by his side. A son of Slovokian Immigrants the late George and Anna Hlavaty Sefchok; he was born in Pricedale; PA on October 26; 1922. Paul proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Army during World War II; 86th Troop Carrier Squadron; 437th Troop Carrier Group. Honorably discharged in 1946 he was also awarded 7 Bronze Stars. In 1984 he retired from the former Lee Norse Co. in Charleroi; PA. True to his strong work ethic he kept busy pursuing his interests to include: Golfing; Vegetable Gardening (tomatoes his specialty); and restoring antique trunks. Into their mid 80’s Paul and his wife Hilda displayed at antique shows where they sold the items they refurbished. Paul was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post# 0659 and for over 20 years served on the Belle Vernon Water Authority. Garnet William Blower Jr.; 79; of Fayette City; died Thursday; June 21; 2007 in his home. He was born Jan. 23; 1928 in Fayette City; the son of the late Garnet William Sr. and Rose Mezella Blower. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Blower was retired from the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors.
