Inez Pauwels Traynor; 103; of Forward Township; passed away Sunday; March 13; 2011; in her home. A daughter of the late Harry and Mary Carper Tuttle; she was born in Belle Vernon on March 2; 1908. Inez had been a resident of Forward Township for the past 41 years. Survivors include one daughter; Janet Grossi; with whom she made her home; one son and daughter-in-law; John and Sara Pauwels; of Phoenix; Ariz.; three grandchildren and their spouses; Joseph and Judy Grossi; of Forward Township; John and Staci Grossi; of New Eagle; and Susan and Thomas Brewer; of Bensalem; Pa.; 10 great-grandchildren; Jennifer Plesniak; Jessica; Dominick; Camryn; Alyssa; Alexander and Kaylen Grossi; and Katherine; Victoria and Thomas Brewer; and four great-great-grandchildren; Jordan and Brendan Plesniak; Anthony Crouch and Serenidy Grossi. Betty Mazza; 83; of Clairton; died Sunday; April 12; 2009; in Select Specialty Care Hospital; McKeesport. She was born Jan. 9; 1926; in Monessen; a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Hadvab Kozar. She was a retired aide for Le Pensione Nursing Home in Clairton. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish; Clairton; and a member of the Wilson Civic Association. She is survived by daughters; Natalie (John) Madar; of Largo; Fla.; and Mary Beth (Dino) Pierucci; of North Augusta; S.C.; sons; William Mazza Jr.; of Harrison City; and Frank (Cile) Mazza; of Hastings-on-the-Hudson; N.Y.; four grandchildren; Marissa Mazza; William Mazza III; Katherine Mazza and Benjamin Mazza; and nieces and nephews. William R. Mazza Sr.; 82; of Clairton; died Friday; November 5; 2010; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Belle Vernon; February 3; 1928; he was the son of the late William and Santina Lepri Mazza. A retired bricklayer from the National Tube Works in McKeesport; he was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and an U.S. Army veteran serving at T4 during World War II. William was a board member of the Wilson Civic Association and a member of the Daniel Keffer American Legion Post 75 in Clairton. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” K. Kozar Mazza who died April 12; 2009.
