Betty K. Vizza; 90; of Monessen; formerly of North Belle Vernon; passed away Saturday; June 4; 2011; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A daughter of the late Charles C. and Grace Greenwood Kane; she was born in Donora on Sept. 9; 1920. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and a former member of the Mon Valley Country Club. She had resided most of her adult life in North Belle Vernon until moving to Monessen in 2003. She and her husband had owned and operated a State Farm Insurance Agency in North Belle Vernon for 45 years until her retirement in 1995. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Kathy and Richard Dunmeyer; of Monessen; one son; William Vizza; of San Ramon; Calif.; one sister; Gail Flowers; of Smithton; six grandchildren; Lori Snow and husband; Mike; Lisa Vizza; Scott Vizza and wife; Tiffani; Kristi Vizza; Joel Dunmeyer and Ryan Dunmeyer; and three great-grandchildren; Trinity; Noah and Olivia. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William A. Vizza; in 2000; two sisters; Dorothy Dolfi in 2002; and Faye Giles in 2010; and one brother; in infancy. Charles S. Chuck Stringhill; 48; of North Belle Vernon; died Monday; March 15; 2010; at 9:37 a.m.; at his home. Born Jan. 13; 1962; in North Charleroi; he was the son of Eleanor Judy Molek Stringhill; who survives and resides in Belle Vernon; and the late Samuel Stringhill. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Stringhill was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; and was a retired painter from Holiday Park Apartments; Murrysville. He was a member of the Roosevelt Club of Greensburg; social member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; Fairhope Rod & Gun Club; Belle Vernon Moose; Belle Vernon Musical Society; Naomi Athletic Club; Belle Vernon Russian Club; Perry Township Sportsman’s Club and Russ’ Tavern of Belle Vernon.
