Grace J. Spagnolo Rostraver Township Grace J. (Balestrieri) Spagnolo; 77; of Rostraver Township; Belle Vernon; passed away peacefully Tuesday; July 3; 2012; after a prolonged illness; in the company of her three children; Angelo V. Spagnolo II; Mary V. Bashur and Frank G. Spagnolo. Grace lived a long and blessed life and practiced her Catholic faith through her daily actions. She could often be found tending to the sick or comforting those who had suffered losses of family members. She lived her last days at the St. Anne Home in Greensburg where the staff there lovingly cared for her needs. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband; Donald J. Spagnolo; in 2001; son-in-law George Bashur; in 2010; and most recently by her great-granddaughter; Vivica C. Venne. She was the daughter of the late Mary and Frank Balestrieri and was preceded in death by sisters; Antoinette Machi and Rose Balestrieri; and brother; Mario Balestrieri. She is survived by her sister; Dorothy Camarda and brother; Thomas Balestrieri. Grace is survived by her son; Angelo V. Spagnolo (wife; Darlene); daughter; Mary V. Bashur; of Columbus; Ohio; and son; Frank G. Spagnolo (wife; Lisa). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Donald J. Spagnolo II (wife; Lisa); David C. Spagnolo; of Houston; Texas; Daniel G. Bashur (wife; Amie); of Reynoldsburg; Ohio; Jaclyn D. Venne (husband; Michael); of Columbus; Ohio; and Christopher J. Bashur (wife; Vanessa); of Pittsburgh; Travis C. and Tiffany L. Spagnolo; and three great-grandchildren; Matthew Bashur; Courtney Bashur and Noelle Spagnolo. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the JAMES C. Elizabeth Betty M. Lutheran Spadafore; 80; of Belle Vernon; Washington Township; passed away peacefully Tuesday; Nov. 29; 2011; at 10:15 a.m. at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. Born March 22; 1931; in Donora; she was the daughter of the late Michael D. and Elizabeth Majoris Lutheran. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Spadafore was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; which she loved and supported. Betty was a very loving and devoted wife; mother and grandma. After her children were grown; she started selling real estate throughout the Mon Valley; making dreams come true for many families. She enjoyed her home and loved to decorate for all of the seasons and holidays. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Sharon and James Kovacs; of Greensburg; son; David Spadafore; of North Belle Vernon; two granddaughters Natalie Natty Rygelski and friend Roy Bodnar; of Greensburg; and Autumn Spadafore; of North Belle Vernon; sister and brother-in-law; Patricia and James Winters; of Munhall; two sisters-in-law; Tressa Spadafore and Sylvia Spadafore; both of Monessen; several cousins; and her dearest aunt; Helen Zuraw; of Washington Township. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years; William L. Spadafore; on Feb. 24; 2001. We will always love you mom. Private family visitation and Funeral Mass were held Thursday; Dec. 1; 2011; St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick; pastor; as celebrant.
