Joseph R. Muccino; 49; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Saturday; March 14; 2009; in UPMC Presbyterian; Oakland. Born Nov. 22; 1959; in North Charleroi; he was the son of Joseph A. and Irene Carlock Muccino; with whom he made his home. Mr. Muccino was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon. He worked as a front loader for Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant; and was later employed as a nuclear technician by Westinghouse; Waltz Mill. He was very athletic and loved to play sports; enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. He was a doting uncle for his three nieces and nephew. He also took great pride and was a perfectionist in his cement and block work. In addition to his parents; he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law; Valerie and Charles Ruslavage; of Canonsburg; and Erica and Jim Jarvis; of Wexford; three nieces; Kayla and Rachel Ruslavage and Gabriella Jarvis; and a nephew; Rocco Jarvis. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Verda Mae Tootie Boo Jones; 61; of Monessen; died peacefully on Wednesday; March 4; 2009; at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Dec. 24; 1947; in Monongahela; she was the daughter of the late Verline Lynn and Dennis Jones. Verda was Baptist by faith and a member of the former Fellowship Baptist Church in Monessen. She was the church clerk; choir member and assisted Rev. Ricardo Hall with Bible studies. She was deeply into God’s word and whenever anyone was sick or needed prayer; they called Tootie Boo and she cheerfully went into prayer with them. She was a 1967 graduate of Monessen High School. She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters; Gwendolyn Toot Price-Jackson of Bronx; N.Y. and Patricia Lorraine Pryor of Monessen; four brothers; Dennis Chucky Jones of Germany; Larry Jones; Garriton Porky Jones and Roderick Rodney Jones; all of Monessen; Cekia Jones; a niece whom she helped raise and David Price; a nephew who was her caregiver; two uncles; Oliver Puddin Mays of Monessen and Ollie Clay Mays of California.; one Godchild; Dana Majors of Erie; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends; and three very devoted friends; Minister Evelyn Robinson; Barbara Frost and Bonnie Mays (family member); all of Monessen.
