Helen L. Book; 68; of North Belle Vernon; passed away Wednesday; June 30; 2010. A daughter of the late Charles R. and Betty L. Lightner Tennant; she was born in Waynesburg on July 5; 1941. Methodist by faith; she had resided in North Belle Vernon since 1976. Helen was the owner and operator of the former Books Floral Shop; and was a bus driver for the Belle Vernon Area School District. Survivors include her husband of 48 years; Louis C. Book; two daughters and one son-in-law; Lou Ann and Richard Clayton; of West Mifflin; and Cindy Lou Kossar; of Belle Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law; Louis Alan and Geraldine Book; of Monessen; and five grandchildren; Alan Michael Book; Jesse Scott Clayton; Nicholle Kati Clayton; Katlyn Scott Kossar; and Carly Savanna Clayton. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Jacqulyn Nicole Clayton; and one brother; Charles Russell Tennant; in 2008. Myrtle L. Hubbard; 88; peacefully went to be with her Lord and savior on Wednesday; June 23; 2010; in the Manor Care Facility in Monroeville. Born on Nov. 30. 1921; she was the daughter of the late Clarence Allen and Ida Belle Frezzell Williams. Myrtle was a resident of the Mon Valley area all of her life. Myrtle was a member of the Union Baptist Church; Monessen; where she was an active worker where ever needed; and was always a willing worker in her community. After being employed as a beautician for many years; she worked at Mercy Hospital; and later as a Drug and Alcohol counselor at Mon Valley Health Center; in Monessen; from which she retired. Myrtle was married to the late Rev. Wilbur J. Hubbard; who died in December of 2000. She is survived by two daughters; Marjorie Arlene Oliver; of Monroeville; and Sandra A. Logan; of Harrisburg; grandchildren; Earl L. Miller Jr. (LeShawn) of Monroeville; Stacey Logan-Kent (Ronald); of Harrisburg; Charla L. Johnson (David) of Williamsport; Dr. Cassandra Arlene Logan; of Bowie; Md.; great-grandchildren; Brandon L. Miller; Chandler J. Logan; Ashley J. Folkes; Logan B. Kent; Cole L. Johnson; and great-great-granchildren; Jahfi Logan and Juelz Baltimore. Emily Daniels Granlund; 92; of Belle Vernon; passed away on June 19; 2010; after a short battle with cancer. Born in West Brownsville; she was the daughter of Jonas and Veronica Rebicus Daniels. She was Catholic by faith. She retired from U.S. Steel as a chambermaid and cook on their riverboats. She also ran a glasshouse locomotive during World War II. She enjoyed bingo; cooking; walking; her family; dogs; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; A.J. Rip Granlund; daugher and son-in-law; Marlene and Arnold Mecham; grandson; Brian Mecham; sister; Stella Sands; four brothers; Andy; Felix; John and James Daniels; niece; Shirley Conte; and nephew; John Lee Daniels. She is survived by a son; Arthur A. and wife; Sally Granlund; a brother; Frank; and wife; Clara Daniels; grandsons; Eric and Bill Granland; and Barry Mecham; granddaughter Kelly (Glen) Reynolds; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. At her request; there will be no viewing; and a graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers; the family will accept donations.

Carol L. Clark; 76; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died at home onTuesday; December 11; 2012 . Born in Pricedale on February 14; 1936; she was the daughter of the late Grover and Elizabeth (Lane) Schuller.
In addition to her parents; Carol was preceded in death by a very special aunt and uncle; Emma and Joseph Hutchinson; her husband; Ralph L. Clark; two grandchildren; Mark Veltre and Michele Mansberry; and a sister; Virginia Rae Riili.
A homemaker; Carol was Protestant by faith.

Ralph L. Clark; 73; of Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township; died Thursday; June 17; 2010 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Star Junction on July 24; 1936; he was the son of the late Michael and Besie (Keffer) Clark.
Ralph retired from the USX Irvin Works after working 40 years in Maintenance. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
