Dorothy Feehan Weisel; 86; formerly of Monessen; passed away Wednesday; April 20; 2011; in Emeritus Nursing Home; Ravenna; Ohio. She was born on Aug. 9; 1924; the only daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth Meluck Feehan. She attended St. Leonard Catholic School and Monessen Public Schools; graduating from Monessen High School in 1942; and later attended Robert Morris Business School in Pittsburgh. She was employed as a receptionist at the former Pittsburgh Steel Co. Dorothy traveled the world with her husband; Earl (Pat) Weisel; who was in the wire business. After retiring; they made their home in Ohio. He was the love of her life and they enjoyed; very much; being with all of their loving family and many friends. Mrs. Weisel is survived by her brother; Thomas Feehan; of Naples; Fla.; a stepson; David Weisel and wife; Barbara; who lovingly cared for her for several years; many nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Born Jan. 30; 1926; in Ellwood City;she was the daughter of the late Charles and Raphaela (Suglia) Kerr. Ms. Armstrong was a 1944 graduate of Monessen High School. She was employed at the Monessen Daily Independent. She had worked at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in the library; and then for the Bradford Hospital at the front desk reception area. She also worked as a switchboard operator for several years. She was a member of Church of the Ascension; the Junior Guild; and a honorary member of Bradford Area Women’s Club.
