A daughter of the late Gus and Mary Yetsconish Melissas; she was born in Monessen on March 8; 1938. She had been employed as a waitress at LaEda’s Restaurant of Monessen. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Susan and Donald Stahl; and two grandsons; all of Forest Lake; Minn.; one son and daughter-in-law; Allan and Julie Haugen; and three granddaughters; all of Phoenix; Ariz.; one sister and brother-in-law; Kay and Bob Valko; of Kingsville; Md.; one cousin; Jennie Melissas; of Monessen; and two nieces and one nephew. Alexander Fritsky; 83; lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; died Friday; Nov. 4; 2011; at 11:19 p.m. at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. Born March 23; 1928; in Rostraver Township; he was the son of the late Wassil and Mary Staranka Fritsky. A resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Fritsky was Orthodox by faith and was a retired machinist from Corning Glass of Charleroi. He was a veteran of the Korean War; having served in the U.S. Army Artillery. He is survived by two sisters; Helen Fritsky and Nellie Fritsky; brother and sister-in-law; William and Nancy Fritsky; a brother-in-law; Vincent J. Dobos; nieces and nephews; John Fritsky; Laura Korte; and Vincent E. Dobos; and great nephews; Chase Mattis; Christopher Fritsky and Jacob Fritsky. He is preceded in death by a brother; Anthony Fritsky; and a sister; Anna Dobos. Private family visitation was held Sunday at the LEONARD J.
