Leonard E. Peroney; 92; of Belle Vernon; passed away Monday; Jan. 7; 2013; in his home. A son of the late Humbert and Matilda Kretschmer Peroney; he was born in Pricedale May 11; 1920. He was a member of the VFW in Sarasota; Fla.; and had attended the Pricedale Union Church. A U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II; he had served in England; France and Germany. Leonard had been employed until 1981 at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and then had been a groundskeeper with the Parks and Recreation Department in Sarasota; retiring in 1995. Survivors include his wife of 65 years; Mary Jenkins Peroney; two sons and daughters-in-law; Brad and Deborah Peroney of Belle Vernon and Bruce and Bette Peroney of Charleroi; one sister; Virginia Waggett of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren; Michael Peroney; Brad Peroney Jr.; and his wife; April; Kelli Riggle; Dan Peroney and his wife; Heather; Joe Peroney and Josh Peroney; and two great-grandchildren; Perry Riggle and Liam Peroney. Robert I. Peters Jr.; 46; of Belle Vernon; passed away Saturday; Jan. 19; 2013; in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. A son of Joan Sterner Peters; who survives and resides in Belle Vernon; and the late Robert I. Peters; he was born in North Charleroi Jan. 19; 1967. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he was a member of the Washington Township / Fayette City Lions Club; the Naomi Club; a social member of the Polish Society Lodge 976; Arnold City; and was a Den Leader for Bot Scouts of America; Pack 1562. He was a patrolman for the Washington Township Police Department and was a regional sales manager for Phoenix Services at their Weirton; W.Va. site. In addition to his mother; survivors include his wife of 22 years; Shelley DeMarco Peters; two sons; Robbie T. Peters and Evan J. Amelia Razzando Vannucci; 97; of Belle Vernon; Washington Township; died Friday; Jan. 11; 2013; at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. Born June 3; 1915; in Fairhope; she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary Vitolla Razzando. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Vannucci was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was a charter member of the former Anita Garibaldi Society; member of the former CD of A Belle Vernon Court 1522; former member of the Fayette City/Washington Township Lions Club; and a social member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. The last surviving member of her immediate family; she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Sondra and Edward Grimm of Connellsville; son; Hugo A. Larry was a lifelong resident of Pricedale. He worked on the road crew for Rostraver Twp. in the 1970’s and was employed at the former Volkswagen plant. Faye’s joy was her grandchildren; being at the beach and visiting lighthouses.
