Cherly D.Bristol;57;was born December 28;1954 in McKeesport;Pa. She was the daughter of Baby Ray Sr.and Nina L.Burton. She was lifted by angels and carried to Jesus on July 21;2012. At the age of five she moved with her family to Monessen;where she was enrolled in the Monessen School system until she graduated from High School in 1972. After graduating;she attended Mansfield State College;where she majored in education. Cheryl was a former employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel having worked as a mail clerk and then promoted to the payroll department in HR. A few of her leisure activities were watching old black and white movies of the 30’s and 40’s;interior decorating and culinary programs. Cheryl loved to design on a dime. She was a member of Mt.Calvaruy Baptist Church. She is survived by her father;Baby Ray Russell Sr.;mother Nina L.Burton Russell;daughter Denise T.Bristol of Monessen;grandchildren;Chanel and Cailee Bristol of Monessen;and Jeremiah Bristol of Colorado Springs;CO.;sister Tracey E.Russell of Md.;a half brother; Ray Jr.;two half sisters;Raylene and Earlene Russell of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her son Robert L.Bristol (Jay-Boy). Cheryl also leaves a host of aunts;uncles;nieces nephews;cousins and friends. Adam Cyrnek; 91; of Monessen; passed away Saturday; Aug. 21; 2010; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born May 16; 1919; in Vestaburg; son of the late Stanley and Wanda Cyrnek. He worked as a steelworker for American Chain and Cable Co.; Page Division and also Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; prior to his retirement. Mr. Cyrnek was a veteran of World War II and Korea; having served in the Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and also enjoyed flowers. Surviving are his daughter; Shirley; and husband; Joe Zilka; of Monongahela; a son; Stanley Sonny and wife; Veronica Cyrnek; of Rostraver Township; five grandchildren; Joe Zilka Jr. and wife; Donna; of Belle Vernon; Jennifer Lynne Marco and husband; Jeff; of South Charleston; Ohio; Todd Zilka and wife; Jennifer; of Daisytown; Heather Zilka; of Columbus; Ohio; and Jeff Cyrnek and wife; Jennifer; of Fallowfield Township; five great-grandchildren; and a sister; Stella Corner; of Richeyville. He was preceded in death by his wife; Sue. Thomas S. Howard; 70; of Monongahela; passed away Monday; October 29; 2012; in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Thomas Clayton and Marguerite L. Soubeyrand Howard; he was born in New Eagle on April 30; 1942. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Monongahela. He was a self-employed bricklayer. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law; Les and Fame Howard of Fallowfield Twp.; one sister and brother-in-law; Barbara and Robert Capron of Centerville; GA; nieces and nephews as follows; Chris Howard and his wife; Kristen; Rachael Hanson and her husband; Lucas; Heather Stantial and her husband; Tim; Kelli Pattee Breuer; and Steven Pattee; two great-nieces and nephews; Cody and Cheyenne Breuer; and one great-great nephew; Jack Breuer. A member of the Red Hat Society; Beverly had been the President of the Resident’s Council of the Presbyterian Senior Care for several years. She loved cooking; photography; painting; the symphony and dancing.
