Born June 29;1917 in North Belle Vernon;PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Bartus. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;she was a homemaker and member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly;enjoyed cooking;baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law;Robert and Eileen Nagy of Roscoe;three grandchildren;Rob Nagy Jr.;Regina Juarez & husband Alex and Rachel Nagy. She is preceded in death by her husband James Nagy (5/24/1977);four brothers;Frank;Steven;Albert and John Bartus. Angela C. Whiteko; 28; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Wednesday; Feb. 27; 2013; at UPMC Presbyterian hospital; Pittsburgh; after a long courageous battle with cystic fibrosis. Born July 2; 1984 in Jeannette; she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Liz (Sonson) Whiteko; of Rostraver Township. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Angela was a very loving and caring mother to her children; was a loving daughter; sister and friend to all. She assisted other families who were dealing with cystic fibrosis. In addition to her parents she is survived by a son; Alexander Bastedo; of Belle Vernon; daughter; Aurora Bastedo; of Belle Vernon; brother; Jordan Whiteko; of Belle Vernon; paternal grandparents; William and Christine Whiteko; of Belle Vernon; grandmother; Helen Sonson; friend; David Bastedo; aunts and uncles; Vanessa and Andrew Flanders; Judith Sonson; Jeanette and Calvin Andrews; Thomas and Mary Ellen Ross; Vincent and Diane Sonson; Scott and Helena Pingree; Joel and Shelly Whiteko; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Vincent and Angela Sonson. Theresa Chalfant; of Weirton; WV died Sunday February 24; 1913; at her home.
Born on October 31; 1921; in Mendicino Italy; She was a daughter of the late Domenic and Marietta Muoio Mandarino. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Robert Lee Chalfant; on February 6; 2012; and a brother; Lou Mandarino.
Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors and her extraordinary ability to grow and maintain beautiful flower gardens. She was gifted with a keen sense of color and form and her ability to design was very instinctive. Shopping; traveling; taking long walks; cooking and dancing were among her favorite pastimes.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel (Roxanna) Chalfant of Albany; IN; Jeff Chalfant of Morgantown; WV; a daughter; Linda (Lynn) Chalfant of Belchertown; MA; a brother; Ralph Mandarino of Belle Vernon; PA; four grandchildren; Ryan(Christina) Reagan; Alana (Christopher) Evans; Hannah and Andrew Chalfant; four great grandchildren; Claire and Issac Evans; and Ava and Luke Reagan.
Visitation will be 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM Wednesday at the Little Redstone United Methodist Church; Fayette City; PA.
