Elma H.Breakwell;89;of 275 Braden School Road;Beaver Falls;died Saturday;Jan.13;1990;at 11 p.m.in Beaver County Medical Center. She was born in Belle Vernon May 31;1900;a daughter of the late Elmer F.and Lura Lehew Haught. Mrs.Breakwell was a member of the First United Methodiat Church of Belle Vernon;the Mon Valley Rebekah Lodge 82 and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had lived in Beaver Falls for the past year;having previously lived in Belle Vernon for most of her life. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Charles D.Breakwell Sr.in 1965;a son;Charles D.Breakwell Jr.in 1973;and two sisters;Mattie Abrams in 1986 and Alice Hoyes in 1988. She is survived by three daughters;Mrs.C.H.(Claradele) Wolf of Beaver Falls;Mrs.Virginia Murnane of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Clarence (Hilda) Roberts of Beaver Falls;four grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren;and three great-great-grandchildren. Michael Balaska of 329 Market St.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Nov.4;1989;at 1:40 a.m. in Mount Macrina Nursing Home;Uniontown. He was 89. Mr.Balaska was born Nov.22;1899;in Caechoslovakia;a son of the late Andrew and Helen Karas Balaska. He was Lutheran by faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers;John Balaska;1985;and Andrew Balaska;1973. Mr.Balaska retired in 1965 from the Monessen plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.
