Mrs. Boston was a resident of
the Belle Vernon community
for the past 58 years. She was a
member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle
Vernon.
She is survived by one son;
Paul A. Boston of Severn; Md.;
one daughter; Mrs. Bruce (Donice) Beitel of New Stanton; one
brother; Joe Hamadock of
Dover; Del.; and four grandchildren; Donice M. Beitel; Bruce
Beitel; Kirk A. Boston and Diana L.Boston.
In addition to her parents;
she was preceded in death by
her husband; Ross O. Boston;
who died Oct. 25; 1971; one
brother; John Hamadock; and
one sister; Ann Hamadock.

Ruth Bartus;84;of 2307 W.Crawford Ave.;Connellsville;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Aug.13;1994;at 7 p.m.in Brownsville General Hospital. Mrs.Bartus was born Sept.14;1909;in Bullskin Township;Fayette County;a daughter of the late Albert and Cora Harshman Burkett. She had lived in Leisenring No.1 and had lived in Belle Vernon for 38 years before moving to Connellsville;where she lived the last 28 years of her life. Mrs.Bartus was a former member of the First Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. She and her husband;John L.Bartus;who survives;were married 45 years on June 10;1984. In addition to her parents;she was also preceded in death by a son;Eugene Quinn;in 1989;by a granddaughter;Lori Ann Quinn;in 1982;and by a sister;Blanche Corbett;in 1981. Four brothers;Albert;Ernest;Ray and John are also deceased. Surviving are one son;Ernest Quinn of Lilburn;Ga.;one brother;Jesse Burkett of Leisenring No.1;one sister;Grace Bryus of Detroit;Mich.;four grandchildren;James;Keith;Dawn and Mark Quinn;and five great-grandchildren. Mr.Barker was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints;Fayette City. He was retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation and from Nix Optical Company;Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Elizabeth Hough Barker;who died Dec.17;1976. A resident of Fairhope for the majority of his life;Mr.Black lived in Monongahela the past seven years. He was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church;Belle Vernon;and served for many years as the fire chief of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Company. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;where he had been a foreman. She was born Jan.6;1911;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Edwards Turney. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Bell was a retired kindergarten and elementary school teacher in the Belle Vernon Area School District. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Association of Retired Teachers. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law;Kenneth Lee and Patty Ginglardi Belle and Daryl Porter Bell;all of Belle Vernon;five grandchildren;nine great-grandchildren;two sisters;Dolores Turney Blair of Perryopolis and Bernice Turney Gaskill of Fort Lauderdale;Fla.;and one brother;David J.Turney of Belle Vernon.
