William Terry Barrass;61;of 540 Speer St.Belle Vernon;died Thursday;June 22;2000;at 12:40 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.15;1939;in North Charleroi;a son of the late Thomas and Eleanor Graham Barrass. Mr.Barrass was a lifelong resident of the North Belle Vernon community. He retired from the strip mill shipping department from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport plant. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department and served in the U.S.Army Reserves. Mr.Barass was a member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association;and the Pitt Golden Panthers Booster Club of the Mon Valley. Survivors include his wife;Carol Garofalo Barrass;two daughters;Jennifer Barass and Jessica Barass;both at home;his mother-in-law;Madeline Benedict Garofalo;two sisters-in-law;Michele Romasco and Pat Woods;and a brother-in-law;Michael Garofalo;and their families. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his father-in-law;Michael Garofalo. died Monday; May 22;2000; at 1:45 a.m. in Mt. Macrina Manor; Uniontown. Born Nov.
7;1915; in Pittsburgh; he was the son of the late Nick and Elizabeth Tatalovich.
Formerly of Monongahela and
Wilson; he had lived in
Dunlevy since 1988. He was
Protestant by faith. Mr. Brisky
retired in 1978 from USX
Clairton Works where he was
a boilermaker. He had also
been employed by McDonald’s
in Charleroi for several years;
retiring in 1995. In addition to his parents; he was preceded
in death by his wife; Hazel E.Shawl Brisky; on Feb. 3; 2000;
and by three brothers; Martin Brisky; Nick and Rudy Tatalovich. Survivors include
two daughters; Mrs. Ray (Janice) Shutterly of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Michael G.
(Joan) Bozik of Warrenton;Va.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
