Alexander Ferguson Sr.;of Grandview;Monongahela R.D.1;died Sunday;Oct.28;1979;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Edinboro;Scotland;May 15;1887;the son of the late Francis and Mary Weldon Ferguson;and had lived in Grandview since the early 1900s. He retired in 1957 after 50 years of service with the Donora Southern Railroad and was a member of St.Charles Church of Donora. He was preceded in death by his wife;Lillian Ann Kramer Ferguson;Jan.15;1970. Survivors include one son;Alexander J.Ferguson Jr.of Grandview;one daughter;Mrs.Walter (Joan) Painter of Donora;six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the James Rabe Funeral Home;Donora;Tuesday;Oct.30;1979 from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.Wednesday;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Charles Church with the Rev.Albert Koser as celebrant.

Mr. Fabian was born June
19; 1917; in Farrell; Pa.; a son
of the late John and Mary Kentoski Fabian.
He is survived by his widow;

of Lynnwood; one brother;
Steve Fabian of Bodenton;
Md.; three sisters; Mrs. Mary

Mrs. Mary Holowaty of
Monessen; and Mrs. Ann Smee
of Mentor; Ohio; one grandson; John Michael Lesko II;
and several nieces and
nephews.
Mr. Fabian was preceded in
death by three brothers; Andrew; John; and Michael; and
also by two sisters; Mrs. Anne
Servetnicky and Mrs.
Margaret Monack.
Mr. Fabian was a member
of St. Sebastian Catholic
Church and its Holy Name
Society; as well as Knights of
Columbus Council 3026; all of
Belle Vernon.
He had been a resident of
the Belle Vernon community
for more than 30 years.
He was a foreman at the
sinter plant of WheelingPittsburgh Steel Corp. in
Monessen; where he had been
employed for more than 43
years.
Visitation was held Saturday and Sunday at the
Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral
Home; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle
Vernon.
Prayer service was held at
the funeral home Monday at 9:30
a.m.; followed by Mass of
Christian Burial at 10 o’clock
at St. Sebastian Catholic
Church.
Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
JOSEPH FERRERI
Joseph Ferreri;85;of 525 Fayetteville Rd.;died Thursday morning at 6 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Italy on Jan.22;1894;he was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church and a resident of Belle Vernon for 22 years. He formerly lived in Monessen. Mr.Ferreri was a retired craneman at the Monessen plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He is survived by his wife;Rose Mazzo Ferreri;one son;Frank C.Ferreri;mayor of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.Peter J.(Virginia) Bellante of Aspinwall;one sister;Mrs.Rose Reda of Dayton;Ohio;four grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Hiawatha Frezzell;39;of 125 Koslasky Dr.Belle Vernon died at 6:35 a.m.Wednesday May 23;1979;at Mon Valley Hospital following a long illness. He was born April 12;1940;in Monessen. He was employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburggh Steel Co.’s Allenport plant. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war;serving in the U.S.Air Force. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Surviving are one son;Hiawatha Frezzell III;at home;his mother;Willie Jane Matthews Newberry;step-father;John H.Newberry;four sisters;Asentha Love;Islip;N.Y.;Jane Marie Scott;Detroit;Mich.;Dell White Donora;and Mary Ellen Bell;Gary;Ind.;seven aunts and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev.Luther Womack officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Vernon Faulks;104 Grata Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;April 6;1979;in the Veterans Administration Hospital;Oakland. He was 63. Born April 27;1915;in Stratsboro;Ga.;he was the son of the late George and Nahaley George Faulks. Mr.Faulks had been a resident of the Mon Valley area for the last 45 years. Mr.Faulks was a retired employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen plant. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen;and had served as a member of the trustee board. He was also a member of the Okay Lodge No.697;Elks;Monessen. Mr.Faulks is survived by a brother;Floyd Faulks of Monessen;three nieces;Mrs.Edgar (Dorothy) Wilson of Belle Vernon;Mrs. Allen (Diane) Williams of Pittsburgh;and Mrs.Marva Clay of Philadelphia;two nephews;Floyd Faulks Jr.of the state of Calfornia;and Julius Faulks Jr.of New York;N.Y.;and a number of other nieces;nephews and cousins.
