John D.Frazier;78;of 914 Washington Road;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday Nov.30;1988;at 12:11 a.m.in Haven Crest Nursing Home;Carroll Township. He was born in Port Royal;Pa.;on Jan.29;1910;a son of the late Winfield and Hulda Frazier. Mr.Frazier was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church and F;&A.M. Lodge No.643 of Belle Vernon. He lived in Belle Vernon for the last 43 years and formerly resided in Fallowfield Township. Mr.Frazier retired in 1975 from Monessen Southwestern Railroad;a subsidiary of the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company. He and his wife celebrated 54 years of marriage on Jan.30;1988. Mr.Frazier is survived by his wife;Odessa Stence Frazier;three daughters;Mrs.Clem (Shirley) Sementuh of Inglewood;Fla.;Mrs.Thomas (Donna) Hixenbaugh of New Bern;N.C.;and Mrs.Ronald (Barbara) Barron of Monessen;two sisters;Mrs.Lenora Reed of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Leoda Leamer of Huntingdon;Pa.;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.with Rev.Edward J.Crotty of Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.on Friday by Belle Vernon Lodge F&AM No.643. Janet Morrison Frazier of the Belle Vernon Apartments died Tuesday;Sept.20;1988;at the Haven Crest Nursing Home in Carroll Township. She was 97. She was born April 3;1891;in Roscoe;a daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Stevenson Morrison. Mrs.Frazier was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1966;and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church there and its Martha Circle. She was a former member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church. For the past 67 years she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star;Chapter 215;of Toronto;Ohio. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Fred L.Frazier;in 1962;and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Harold Mac (Ann) McKenna of Charleroi and Mrs.William A.(Margaret) Rabe of Phoenix;Ariz.;five grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.;Charles LaPlaca;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. William J. (Scotty) Ferguson;86;formely of Belle Vernon and Charleroi;died Wednesday;March 9;1988;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born July 29;1901; a son of the late James and Margaret Irvine Ferguson. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;and the Fayette City American Legion Club. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp’s Allenport Plant in 1962. Besides his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Mabel Robbins Ferguson;who died March 13;1974;and one brother;Pete Ferguson;in 1970. Survivors include two sons;Harold Ferguson of Monessen and William Ferguson of Donora;two daughters;Mrs.Thelma Traynor and Mrs.Hoyt (Harriet) Kite;both of Belle Vernon;one sister;Mrs.Mary Grant of Charleroi;10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
