He was U.S.Army veteran of World War II;having served as a sergeant in the European Theatre. Survivors include his wife Helen Soroka Gaber;with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage in June 1990;one daughter;Mrs.John (Marilyn) Maskaly of Pittsburgh;and two brothers;Frank and Edward Gaber;both of the state of California.
