Lelah Lynch Hawker;98;Perryopolis R.D.1;died on Sunday;Nov.4;1990;at 9:50 p.m. in Uniontown Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Jefferson Township;Fayette County;on Nov.5;1891;a daughter of the late William J.Lynch and Ella Mae Kinnear Lynch. Mrs.Hawker was also a member of Little Redstone United Presbyterian Church of Fayette City R.D.1. She was preceded in death by her husband;Robert K.Hawker;in June 1977;and a son;James P.Hawker;in June 1981. Survivors include one son;William R.Hawker of Perryopolis R.D.1;one daughter;Mrs.Alex (Helen) Sethman of Carmichaels;seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren;and two sisters;Mrs.Hazel Cross of Bradenville;Pa.;and Mrs.Freda Murphy of Grindstone R.D.1. Jeffrey Lynn Hewitt;27;of Fairhope;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Aug.7;1990;at 2:30 a.m.in Presbyterian University Hospital;Pittsburgh. Born Nov.30;1962;in Philadalphia;he was the son of Charles and Carol Hixenbaugh Hewitt;with whom he resided. Mr.Hewitt had lived in Belle Vernon since 1965. He was in declining health since 1986;at which time he was a student at Columbia School of Broadcasting;Pittsburgh. He had also completed two years at Clarion University. In addition to his parents;he is survived by four brothers;Charles Hewitt III of Virginia Beach;Va.;who is an A.T.2 with the U.S.Navy;Capt.Roy Hewitt of the U.S.Army;stationed in Columbia;Md.and Lee and Thomas Hewitt;at home;and many aunts;uncles and cousins. Surviving are a daughter; Mary Ann Boltze of Bradenton;a brother;Vincent Sousae of Greensburg;a sister;Betty Cope of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren;one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Services and a Memorial Mass were held in Florida. In lieu of flowers;contributions can be made to a favorite charity.
