Frances A.Lowman of 226 Main St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Feb.17;1980. She was 79. She was born in Belle Vernon on Aug.10;1900;a daughter of the late Norman and Alice Kittle Lowman. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She also was a member of the Miniriam Club of Belle Vernon and the W.S.C.S.of the church. She was also a member of the National Retired Teachers Association. She was graduated from California State College and received her masters degree from Northwestern University. She retired in 1965 from the Mellon Junior High School in Mount Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents;a brother Robert;and a sister Rebecca Berryman. She is survived by two nephews;William D.Berryman;Arlington;Va.;and John D.Berryman;Waynesburg;three grandnieces and three grandnephews. Friends may call at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.Wednesday at the funeral home;with the Rev.Lee F.Dinsel of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Services for Robert Lewis;64;of 309 First;Donora;who died Saturday evening in Veterans Administration Hospital in Pittsburgh;are planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Percy E.law Jr.Funeral Home in Donora. Born July 15;1915 in Fitzgerald;Ga.;the son of the late Joseph and Martha Tucker Lewis;he was a veteran of World War II and historian and past commander of the William E.Owens Post 695 American Legion of Donora. Surviving are a daughter;Mrs.Norma Lewis Wright of Adelphi;Md.;a brother;James of Pemberton;N.J.;one grandchild;and several nieces and nephews. died at 5:06 p.m. Sunday;May 27; 1979 at Mon Valley
Hospital.
He was born in Dunlevy; June
9; 1899; the son of Ottoviao and
Amelia Lupori.
He was a member of the
Garbaldi Lodge; Dunlevy and a
lifelong resident of Dunlevy.
He retired in 1964 as a
foreman at the No. 5 finishing
mill in Allenport; Wheeling-Pillsburgh Steel.
He is survived by his wife; the
former Mary Manzini; three sons; Albert of Dunlevy; Ronald
of Dunlevy; and Master Sgt.
Donald; stationed with the U.S.
Army in Turkey. He is also survived by two brothers;Paul of Donora and Conrad of Belle Vernon;one sister;Mary Ceccarelli of Belle Vernon;eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends were received at the Shleby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Monday and Tuesday. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi. Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
