He also was a 41 year member pf BPOF;Lodge No.494 in Charleroi and a member of the Florida Sheriff’s Association. Mrs.Laird was born March 27;1891 in Smithton;a daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Unger Stemberg. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;Mrs. Laird came to Belle Vernon in 1935. She was a former member for many years of the Belle Vernon Women’s Club. Mrs.Laird was preceded in death by her husband;Andrew G.Laird in June of 1975;and a daughter;Ruth A. Ferguson on July 17;1976. Mr.Lloyd was born May 8;1910;in Fayette City; a son of the late John and Sarah E.Spencer Lloyd. he was a Protestant by faith. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II;Mr.Lloyd served in the Continental United States and in the Rhineland with the 126th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. He was a retired employee of U.S.Steel Corporation’s Clairton Works. Mr.LLoyd was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon.
