He was a member of the American Legion Post 28;Monessen for the past 41 years and was an active member of the U.S.Trotting Association with standard breds. He lived in Rostraver Township for the past 26 years. He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired in 1970 as a steamfitter out of Local 650;Youngwood. Dorothy (Dolly) Lorraine Madison;formerly of Monessen;died Wednesday;Dec.10;1986;in Long Beach;Calif. She was 38. Miss Madison was born in Monessen on Dec.10;1948;a daughter of Napoleon and Katherine Madison;both of whom survive and reside in Monessen. She was a graduate of Monessen High School Class of 1966. She received her L.P.N.degree from Allegheny General Hospital and earned her R.N.degree from the University of District of Columbia;Washington;D.C. She was a veteran of the U.S.Air Force and traveled extensively;previously being employed at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio;Tex. She was also employed for many years at Veterans Administration Hospital;Washington;D.C.. At the time of her death;she was employed as a private nurse at Norwell Health Care and the Staff Builders in Long Beach;Calif. In addition to her parents;she is survived by two brothers;Napoleon Jr.and Craig Davis;both of Monessen;a sister;Patty (Madison) Crosby of Monessen;a paternal grandfather;Robert Madison Sr.of North Charleroi;several nieces and nephews;and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.at the Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ;Monessen;with the Rev.J.E.Bass Sr.officiating.
