Born Aug.14;1931;in Monessen;he was a son of Ida Weible McElfresh and the late Frank McElfresh. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen. A U.S.Army veteran of the Korean War;Mr.McElfresh was a member of VFW Post 1190 of Monessen where he had served as senior vice commander. A 1949 graduate of Monessen High School;he retired in 1992 from the American Chain and Cable Co.;Page Division;Monessen. In addition to his father;he was preceded in death by a son;Robert McElfresh. In addition to his mother;survivors include his wife;Susan Pellick McElfresh;a daughter;Ida Lynn McElfresh at home;a grandson;Rob McElfresh at home;and three brothers;Everett McElfresh of Monessen;Alan McElfresh of Donora and Carl McElfresh of Glen Mills. Mr. Misher was a retired employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. at the Allenport Plant. He was a member of the CFU; Naomi Club and

James Martino;65;of 826 Vista Road;Washington;Pa.;died Friday;Feb.16;1996;in the Washington Hospital. He was born in Charleroi;Jan.8;1931;a son of the late Pete Martino and Nellie Bondi Martino Mannina. Mr.Martino was a veteran of the U.S.Navy. He attended Charleroi High School. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport Plant. Mr.Martino was Protestant by faith. He was a citizen’s band radio enthusiast;with the handle of Big Wheel. Surviving are his wife;Betty Moore Martino;two daughters;Mrs.Charles (Marilyn) Swantek of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Donald (Cheryl) White of Washington;Pa.;one brother;Joseph Mannina of Dunlevy;one sister;Mrs.Norman (Rose) Carson of Dunlevy;five grandchildren;Brian and Michael Swantek;Mrs.Tina Shrader and Jayme and Dawn White;and one great-granddaughter;Shaylynne Shrader. A Monesen resident for many years;Mrs.McLaughlun was retired from Altas Merchandising in Charleroi. She was a member of First Christian Church;Monessen;and served as an Elder for many years. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters;Dames of Malta and the Rebecca Lodge. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Robert P.McLaughlin;in 1985. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law;James R.and Maria McLaughlin;with whom she lived;and Richard and Cheryl McLaughlin of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren;one great-grandchild;and one brother;James Hepple of Hobart;Ind. Albert L.Mossburg Sr.;83;of the Belle Vernon Apartments;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Dec.17;1995;at 5:40 a.m.in Forbes Hospice;Pittsburgh. Mr.Mossburg was born Dec.15;1912;in Wickhaven;a son of the late Charles H.and Rachel E.Hammitt Mossburg. He was a retired inspector at the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation;where he started to work at the age of 16 and had retired with 39 years of service. After his retirement;he was employed by the Belle Vernon Area School District in its Maintenance Department. Mr.Mossburg was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community and a member of AARP. His wife;Katherine Galiotto Mossburg;died May 28;1989. Surviving are a son;Albert L.Mossburg Jr. of Pittsburgh;two daughters;Mrs.Kenneth (Doris) Johnson of Romulus;Mich.;and Mrs.Daniel (Stella) Williams of Export;a sister;Bertha Roberts of Fayette City;12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A brother;Charles Leroy Mossburg;and a sister;Ruth Ann Elder;are also deceased.
