Born Oct.20;1915;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Thomas and Bertha MacDonald. He was a member of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church;Charleroi. A resident of North Charleroi since 1965;Mr.MacDonald had previously lived in Brownsville. He retired in 1980 after 30 years as a deckhand with Valley Line Barge Co. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Agnes McLaughlin MacDonald;in November 1963 and his second wife;Elsie Morton MacDonald in June 1997. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law;James and Betty MacDonald of North Charleroi;three daughters and two sons-in-law;Lennie and William Pocky of Belle Vernon;Elizabeth and Patrick Kelly of Belle Vernon and Gloria Tomer of Royers Ford;10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
