Funeral services will be held Tuesday in East Lake;Ohio;for Elizabeth Pezek;89;of Mentor;Ohio; formerly of Monessen;who died Saturday;Dec.13;1997;in Mentor following a lengthy illness. She was born May 8;1908;in Hungary;a daughter of the late George and Mary Oslowski Urick. Prior to moving to Ohio;she resided in Smithton and Monessen. She was a charter member;past president and organizer of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2399 and a social member of the Croatian and Hungarian clubs;all of Monessen. Survivors include two daughters;Mrs.Robert (Katherine Goldie ) Coffman of Moraga;Calif.;and Mrs.David (Shirley) Pecjak of Mento;Ohio;seven grandchildren;eight great-grandchildren;and two brothers;Peter Urick of Smithton and Nick Urick of Berlin Heights;Ohio;and three sisters;Mrs.Edward (Ann) Bousquet of New Jersey;Margaret Sarosi and Irene Morrocco of Scottdale. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Charles Pezek Sr. in 1971;one son;Charles Pezek Jr.;and two sisters;Helen Urick and Mary Toth;two brothers;George and John Urick.

Anna Puskas;81;of Fayette City;died Sunday;Nov.9;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Oct.22;1916;in Fayette City;a daughter of the late Luke and Mary Salko Yakim. Mrs.Puskas was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John Puskas on March 6;1976;a son-in-law;Clifford Chippy Carlson on Sept.9;1992;three brothers;Luke;Charles and John Yakim;and a sister;Helen Portman. Survivors include a daughter;Mary Ann Carlson of Fayette City;a grandson;Russell Carlson of Bethel Park;and two sisters;Mary Lazzari of Belle Vernon and Sophia Yakim of Monongahela. Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.;334 Main St.;Fayette City today from 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday until 12:30 p.m.when a Blessing service will be held;followed by Divine Liturgy at 1 p.m.in the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.John Kluchko as celebrant. Mrs.Palvekosky was a member of Mary;Mother of the Church parish of Charleroi;its Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Jednota Lodge. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Lawrence and Laura Palvekosky of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren;Lawrence Palvekosky Jr.and Lisa Harris;five great-grandchildren;and one great-great-grandchild;Matthew Klein;and two sisters;Margaret Vesely of Dunlevy and Dorothy Slaney of Pittsburgh.
