Mrs.Reese was born Jan.11;1891 in Connellsville;a daughter of the late Fred and Louise Bresoch Steinmiller. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;the Charleroi Golden Agers;and the Ladies Auxiliary of Fallowfield Twp. She was preceded in death by her husband;Ernest W.Reese Sr.in 1942 and by a son;Ernest W.Reese Jr.in 1931. Survivors include her daughter;Mrs.John (Dorothy) Adomaitis of Fallowfield Twp.;one grandson;John Reese Adomaitis;a student at Drexel University in Philadelphia;one sister;Mrs.Margaret Briggs of Charleroi;and several nieces and nephews in the Mon Valley. Friends were received today;Nov.4;1978;in the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.;the time of the service. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers;memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society;or the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Born in Belle Vernon;Dec.13;1889;she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Brawley Smith. Mrs.Riskey was a former resident of Allenport;and had lived in Belle Vernon the last 15 years. Mrs.Riskey was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene;and the Belle Vernon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Also;she was a Gold Star Mother. She was preceded in death by her husband;Stephen Riskey;on Jan.19;1960. Mrs.Riskey is survived by a son;John Riskey of St.Petersburg;Fla.;two daughters;Mrs.John (Thelma) Cavanaugh;with whom she made her home;and Mrs.Margaret Bickerton;also of St.Petersburg;Fla.;five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband;Edward Rex;on June 29;1977.
