WALTER E. REICH
Walter E.Reich;64;of West Sacramento;Calif.;died Wednesday;March 26;1980;at his home.He was born in Export;Pa.;Jan.27;1916;son of the late John Reich;who died in 1952. He was a 35-year veteran of the U.S.Army and was a master sergeant. Precededing him in death were two brothers;William and Paul;and a sister;Martha. Surviving are his mother;Violet Thompson Reich of Fairhope;one son;George of Denver and two grandchildren. Friends are being received until 9 p.m.Monday in the Leonard Parzynski Funeral Home;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Tuesday;at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Garnet Ackinclose officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

George W.Ross;85;of 1023 Knox Ave.;died Sunday;Feb.17;1980;at Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Pricedale on May 7;1894. He was a retired mill worker and a World War I veteran. As a member of the Speers Street AME Church;Belle Vernon;he was a choir director for many years. He was a songwriter and belonged to the American Society of Composers;Authors;and Publishers (ASCAP). He also was a member of Arden Calvert Post 167 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Charleroi. He is survived by three daughters;Mrs.Deloros Brown Levy of Buffalo;N.Y.;Gladys Brown Hughes of Midland and Mrs.James (Rossie) Robertson of Monessen;one sister;Elizabeth Ross of Youngstown;Ohio;17 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren;four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home in Monessen from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and from 2 to 4 Wednesday. The body will lie in state then at the church until the time of services at 1 p.m.Thursday. The Rev.W.McGowan;pastor;will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Charles V.Reeves of 129 Dinsmore St.;Belle Vernon;died at 7:15 a.m.Thursday;Nov.29;1979;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 81. Mr.Reeves was born in Bristoria;Greene County;on March 22;1898;a son of the late Charles Thomas and Nancy Chess Reeves. He was a Protestant by faith. Mr.Reeves was retired from the Monessen Southwestern Railroad at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife;Pearl Campbell Reeves;in 1973. Surviving are three daughters;Mrs.John (Myrna) Syplychak of Monongahela;Mrs.Ruth Hnot of Clarion;and Mrs.James (Linda) Davis of New York City;one sister;Mrs.Pearl Cook of Aliquippa;13 grandchildren;and four great-grandchildren. He was born in Fairhope;April 27;1923. He was a son of the late Nicholas and Pauline Radish Radock. A member of the St.Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Belle Vernon;he was a captain in operations of the Civil Air Patrol;31st Wing. Survivors include his wife Rita Fiorino Radock;a son;Martin Eugene Radock of Erie;five brothers;Michael Radock of Ann Arbor;Mich.;Stephen Radock of Baltimore;Charles Radock of Wexford;Joseph Radock of Belle Vernon and Richard Radock of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.Norbert (Sophia) Cutter and Paulette Radock;both of Belle Vernon.
