Rose Apicella Rocchino;66;of 713 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;March 12;1994;at 2:45 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. Born April 13;1927;in Maiori;Italy;she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria Battista Apicella. Mrs.Rocchino was a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 43 years;37 of which she spent with her late husband operating the former Rocchino Cleaners on Broad Avenue in North Belle Vernon. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;and its Ladies Guild. She was also a member of Court Belle Vernon 1522 Catholic Daughters of the Americas;the Anita Garibaldi Lodge in Belle Vernon;the Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon;American Legion Post 659 and the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Mrs.Rocchino was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Mario Alfred Rocchino;who died Aug.9;1976. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.John (Elaine) Posteraro of Wexford and Mrs.Tony (Lillian) Logan of Detroit;Mich.;one son and his wife;Jonathan Paul and Joanne Rocchino of Mechanicsburg;seven grandchildren;one brother;Tomaso Apicella of Agropoli;Italy;and three sisters;Mrs.Antonio (Maria) Ferliano of Nocera Terinese;Italy;and Mrs.Vittorio (Elena) Scarano and Mrs.Gianni (Giovanna) Colina;both of Maiori;Italy and an uncle and aunt;Giovanni and Elena Battista of Maiori;Italy. George J.Roberts;65;of Pricedale;died Tuesday;Oct.26;1993;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Mr.Roberts was born Jan.30;1928;in Monessen;a son of the late Lee Jackson Roberts and Mary Brown Roberts. He was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation;having worked as an open hearth rigger in the Monessen plant for 47 years. Mr.Roberts also served as a paratrooper for the U.S.Army during World War II. He was a member of the
