A member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;she had lived in New York since 1992. Mrs.Rogers had been a waitress at Rego’s Restaurant in Charleroi for many years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;Alvin Peters;in 1950;her second husband;Henry Rogers;in 1987;and a son LeRoy Peters;in 1976. Survivors include one son;John Peters;with whom she resided;one daughter;Carole Lee of Charleroi;one daughter-in-law;Elizabeth Peters of West Haven;Conn.;one brother;Albert McCune of Belle Vernon;four sisters;Rose Zeli;Ange Koslosky and Lena Sichi;all of Belle Vernon;and Dolores Michaux of Charleroi;seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was born July 17;1912;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late John and Rosanna Rhoades Parry. Mrs.Ruby had been a resident of the Baptist Home for the past two years and had previously lived in Belle Vernon. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 196;where she had served as Worthy Matron. A graduate of West Virginia University;she received a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics. She was a retired teacher having taught at St.Sebastian Parochial School;Belle Vernon. She served on the Board of Elections in North Belle Vernon for many years. She was a former member of the Belle Vernon Women’s Club. Surviving are her husband;Stephen W.Ruby;two sons;Stephen P.Ruby of Red Hill and Daryle A.Ruby of Mt.Lebanon;six grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren;and one sister;Ruth Shoenberger of Missouri.
