Stella Rogers;77;of Brooklyn;N.Y.;died Tuesday;Dec.10;1996;at 1:10 p.m. in New York. Born Jan.27;1919;in Belle Vernon;she was a daughter of the late John and Marie Ambrose McCune. A member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;she had lived in New York since 1992. Mrs.Rogers had been a waitress at Rego’s Restaurant in Charleroi for many years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;Alvin Peters;in 1950;her second husband;Henry Rogers;in 1987;and a son LeRoy Peters;in 1976. Survivors include one son;John Peters;with whom she resided;one daughter;Carole Lee of Charleroi;one daughter-in-law;Elizabeth Peters of West Haven;Conn.;one brother;Albert McCune of Belle Vernon;four sisters;Rose Zeli;Ange Koslosky and Lena Sichi;all of Belle Vernon;and Dolores Michaux of Charleroi;seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Funeral Mass in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.E.George Saletrik;parochial vicar;as celebrant. Irene (Toots) Ragan;83;of Belle Vernon R.D.1;died Sunday;Nov.24;1996;at home.  Born Nov.14;1913;in Blairsville;she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Davis Holby.  She was Protestant by faith.  In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;William R.Ragan;on March 22;1963;and a stepdaughter;Mildred Marsh in 1983.  Surviving are one daughter;Mrs.Raymond (Mary Lou) Evans of Belle Vernon R.D.1;with whom she made her home;one stepson;William Ragan of Oregon;three stepdaughters;Betty Frew of Blairsville;Caroline Shaffer of Latrobe and Geraldine Annetti of Blacklick;one sister;Louise Vaira of North Versailles;three grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren;and 14 step-grandchildren.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the James C.Stump Funeral Home Inc.;Sweeney Plan;Rostraver Township;where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the James C.Stump Funeral Home Inc.  

Oren Vincent Foor;86;of Irons Street;Gibsonton;died Monday;Dec.20;2000;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Jan.24;1914;a son of the late Seibert and Rockie Clapper Foor. He attended the Monessen Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He retired in 1979 as a shovel operator at the Gibsonton yard of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp.after 45 years of service. Elizabeth Parry Ruby;84;of Baptist Homes Nursing Center;Castle Shannon and formerly of May Street;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Oct.28;1996;at 11:55 a.m.in St.Clair Memorial Hospital;Mt.Lebanon. She was born July 17;1912;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late John and Rosanna Rhoades Parry. Mrs.Ruby had been a resident of the Baptist Home for the past two years and had previously lived in Belle Vernon. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 196;where she had served as Worthy Matron. A graduate of West Virginia University;she received a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics. She was a retired teacher having taught at St.Sebastian Parochial School;Belle Vernon. She served on the Board of Elections in North Belle Vernon for many years. She was a former member of the Belle Vernon Women’s Club. Surviving are her husband;Stephen W.Ruby;two sons;Stephen P.Ruby of Red Hill and Daryle A.Ruby of Mt.Lebanon;six grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren;and one sister;Ruth Shoenberger of Missouri.
