1991; at 5:45 p.m. in the Mon
Valley Hospital.
She was born in Belle Vernon
on Sept. 12; 1927; a daughter of
the late Samuel and Lillian
Dugan Sergi.
Mrs. Uhor was Catholic by
faith. She was a member of
Local 8041 of United Steel
Workers of America.
At the time of her death; she
was employed in the laundry
department of the Mon Valley
Hospital; where she had worked
for the past 14 years.
In addition to her parents; she
was preceded in death by two
sisters; Frances Caputo and
Pauline Woodering; and two
brothers; Domenick Sergi and
James Sergi.
She is survived by her husband;
Michael F. Uhor; a
daughter; Mrs. Dennis
(Michelle) Bennett of Arnold City;
a son and daughter-in-law;
Stephen and Tammy Uhor of
Perryopolis and a son; Michael
F. Uhor Jr. of Star Junction;
four sisters; Lena Jampedro of
Belle Vernon; Margaret Acton of
Charleroi; Loretta Cooper of
LaPeer; Mich.; and Jeanne
Neinhouse of Columbus; Ohio;
seven grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be
received at the Ferguson
Funeral Home Inc.; 700 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; Friday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service
will be held at the funeral
home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
followed by Mass of Christian
Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian’s
Roman Catholic Church;
Belle Vernon. Interment will be
in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The

John F.Usher;86;of Fayette City;formerly of Pricedale;Rostraver Township;died Saturday;June 2;1990;at 12:03 a.m.in Morgan’s Personal Care Home;Fayette City.  He was born March 28;1904;in Arnold City;a son of the late John W.and Emma Jane Simpson Usher.  Mr.Usher was Protestant.  He was retired as a watchman from Page Steel and Wire Co.;Monessen;with over 28 years of service.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife;Margaret Cochenour Usher;Dec.15;1989.  Survivors include three sons;John W.Usher of Belle Vernon;Charles Usher of Fellsburg and George Usher of Perryopolis;two daughters;Mrs.Joseph (Marie) Coccari of Monessen and Mrs.Daniel (Betty) Evangelist of Belle Vernon;17 grandchildren;26 great-grandchildren;one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;and on Monday until 1 p.m.;when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev.David Reeves;pastor of Pricedale Union Church;officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Margaret Irene Usher;82;of Fayette City;died Friday;Dec.15;1989;at 3 p.m. in the Monongahela Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was born in Westmoreland County Nov.1;1907;a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Rosnak Cochenour.  Mrs.Usher was a member of the Pricedale Union Church.  She is survived by her husband;John F.Usher of Fayette City;three sons;John Usher of Belle Vernon;Charles Usher of Fellsburg and George Usher of Perryopolis;two daughters;Mrs.Joseph (Marie) Coccari of Monessen and Mrs.Daniel (Betty) Evangelist of Belle Vernon;17 grandchildren;25 great-grandchildren;one great-great-grandson and one sister;Mrs.Ann Bachrik of West Newton.  Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday until 1:30 p.m.;when services will be held in the funeral home with Rev.David Reeves;pastor of Pricedale Union Church;officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph M.Uritzie;89;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;Rostraver Twp.;died Saturday Jan.7;1989;at 3:15 p.m.;at his home. He was born March 2;1899;in Jacobs Creek;a son of the late Michael and Anna Uritzie. Mr.Uritzie was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. He retired in 1965 from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;where he had been a craneman. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a son;Merle J.Uritzie;on March 3;1987. Stephen L.(Chip) Urchick;69;of 335 Shady Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Dec.7;1988;at 3:47 a.m. in Mon Valley hospital. he was born Oct.;29;1919;in Bradenville;a son of the late George and Veronica Urchick. Prior to retirement;he was employed by Westmoreland County as the director of the tax claim bureau. For many years;he co-owned and operated the Continental Bar in Monessen. He was the leader of the Harmoneers Polka Orchestra. He was a U.S. Army veteran of world War II. He was a member of American Legion Post #28 of Monessen;the McKeesport Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans and the Monessen Slovak Home. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Monessen;where he served as an usher and a member of the church council. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three brothers;John;Joseph and Michael Urchick;and two sisters;Marian Swift and Julia Onderko. Survivors include his wife;Virginia Monita Urchick;one daughter;Mrs.Robert (Stephanie) Lashway of Greensburg;one son and daughter-in-law;Stephen and Tammy Painter Urchick of CLearwater;Fla.;one sister;Anna May Hayden of Monessen;one step-grandson;James Daniel Lashway;nine nephews and nieces and 11 great-nephews and nieces. Wallace Urban (Urbanowicz);70;of Fayette Street;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Dec.23;1987;at 11:59 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Mr.Urban was born April 1;1917;in Charleroi;a son of the late Charles and Catherine Urbanowicz. He retired in 1979 after 44 years of service as a salesman with Check’s Furniture Co.of Monessen. Mr.Urban was a U.S.Marine Corps veteran of World War II and had the rank of private first class. He had resided in Belle Vernon since 1952;moving there from an earlier residence in Charleroi. Mr.Urban was a member of American Legion Post No.659 in Belle Vernon. His first wife;Hazel Glasser Urban;died in 1965. Surviving are his wife;Josephine Restivo Gallagher Urban;two daughters;Mrs.Owen (Patricia) Weldon of Belle Vernon and Kathryn Urban of Ridgewood;N.J.;two step-daughters;Dorie Lambert and Mrs.Albert (Alice) Baker;both of Belle Vernon;11 grandchildren;and four great-grandchildren. Merle J.Uritzie;Belle Vernon R.D.4;died Tuesday March 3;1987;at 3:30 p.m.at his home. He was 51. Mr.Uritzie was born in Rostraver Township on Jan.3;1987;a son of Joseph and Maggie Holod Uritzie;both of whom survive and reside in Belle Vernon R.D.2. He was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church;F&AM Lodge of Monessen and the Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh. He worked in the banking business for 25 years;last working for Equibank. Mr.Uritzie served in the U.S.Army. In adddition to his parents;he is survived by his wife;Betty J.Uritzie;a daughter;Mrs.Paul (Linda) Romansky of Coal Center R.D.1;and a sister;Dorothy Uritzie of Belle Vernon R.D.2.
