Lucretia Vales of Pricedale died
Thursday; Nov. 5;1987; at 3:23 p.m.
in her home following a lengthy illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Vales was born Jan. 27;1899;
in Pricedale; a daughter of the late
John and Mary Lee Harris.
She was a member of the Pleasant
Green A.M.E. Church in Pricedale.
In addition to her parents; Mrs.
Vales was also preceded in death by
her husband; Dunmore Vales; by a
son; George Vales; and by a granddaughter; Elizabeth Jackson.
Surviving are one son; Edward
Vales; of Pricedale; two daughters;
Mrs. Beatrice Summers and Mrs.
Lenora Shaw; both of Pricedale;
nine grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
Friends will be received in the
Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home;
Fayette City; on Saturday from 6 to 9
p.m.; and at the Pleasant Green
A.M.E. Church on Sunday from 3 to 9
p.m. and again on Monday until 2 p.m.;the hour of services in the church;with the Rev.Luther N.Wormack;pastor;Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Deloris Ventura of 100 Reed Ave.;Monessen;died Sunday;March 9;1986;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 52. Mrs.Ventura was born May 10;1933;in New Eagle;a daughter of Margaret Kruki of Monongahela and the late Patrick Kruki. She had been employed for the past 20 years at Johnsons Restaurant and at Lucchesi Restaurant;both in Monessen. A member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Monessen;she had lived in Monessen the past 17 years. In addition to her mother;survivors include her husband;Paul Ventura;a son;Lee Ventura at home;and a brother;Patrick L.Kruki of Youngwood. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;Monessen;where services will be held Tuesday;March 11;at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Kenneth J.Peters;pastor of the United Methodist Church of Monessen;officiating. Peter W.VanFleet Sr.of North Huntingdon and formerly of Dawson R.D.died Wednesday;Feb.19;1986;in Forbes Regional Health Center;Monroeville. He was 75. Born Jan.17;1911;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Jacob and Anna DenDecker VanFleet. Prior to his retirement;he was employed as a coal miner. He was a member of the Praise Chapel of Wilkinsburg and the United Mine Workers of America. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Delphina VanFleet and a daughter;Sheila Mencer;both in March 1969. Surviving are his wife;Margaret Lynn VanFleet;two sons;Peter of Dawson R.D.and Robert VanFleet of Scottdale R.D.;seven grandchildren;and two sisters;Mrs.John (Elizabeth) Gresh of Belle Vernon R.D.3 and Catherine VanFleet of North Huntingdon.
