Born Dec.16;1903 in Fayette County;she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Cecelia McMahan Hogan. Mrs.Winn was a member of the Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;and the Ladies Guild and the Vincentian Guild of the church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America;Court Belle Vernon;and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Twp.;Vol.Fire Dept. She was preceded in death by her husband;Guy.V.Winn;on March 14;1980;and a brother;Thomas P.Hogan;in May 1979. Survivors include four sons;Vincent Winn of Belle Vernon;John Jay Winn of Perryopolis;Robert E.Winn of Virginia Beach;Va.;and Leonard Winn of Monessen;a daughter;Mrs.Ronald (Patricia) Ledgerton of Belle Vernon;16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;and two brothers;Edward Hogan of the state of Maryland;and Lawrence Hogan of Detroit;Mich. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A parish wake service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 p.m. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Fr.Thomas G.Rinn;pastor;as celebrant. An 18-year-old Monessen man was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning;March 12;1980;in a theater in downtown Pittsburgh. The victim;Ronald Wells of 203 Schoonmaker Ave.;Monessen;was stabbed in the heart about 3 a.m.at the Sneak-A-Peek theater;803 Liberty Ave.;according to city police. He was pronounced dead at 4:16 a.m.Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital after nearly two hours of emergency treatment at the hospital. Wells was born Jan.5;1962;in Monessen;the son of Charles Wells;Sr.of 203 Schoonmaker Ave.and the late Mona Allen Wells. He attended Monessen High School. Surviving;in addition to his father;are three brothers;Charles Jr.;and Dale;both at home and Stephen;who is in the United States Air Force in England;three sisters;Diane Frost of Donora and Karen and Carol Wells;both of Pittsburgh;and many cousins.
