Laurie Echart Zombeck of Maryellen Drive;North Versailles;was pronounced dead on Tuesday;Feb.11;1986;at 6 p.m. in Braddock General Hospital. Mrs.Zombeck;who was pregnant;sustained fatal injuries in an accident along Route 30 in east suburban Pittsburgh. She was 26. Her child died as a result of the accident. A native of Rostraver Township;she was born Aug.25;1959;a daughter of Raymond and Arlene Hille Echart of Belle Vernon;who survive. Mrs.Zombek lived in North Versailles for the past three years. She was raised in the Belle Vernon area and was a member of the Pricedale Union Church. Mrs.Zombek was a 1977 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School and a 1978 graduate of the Douglas Business School. She was employed as a clerk for the Monongahela Connecting Railroad in Pittsburgh. A Belle Vernon man was killed last night when his car ran off the road and struck a large tree in Rostraver Twp. Rostraver Twp.police said the victim;Edward Zadrozny;31;of 327 Green St.;Belle Vernon;was driving south on Route 906 at the River View Roller Arena near the U.S. Locks and Dam No.Four at 10:52 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his car which ran off the berm of the road;traveled approximately 87 feet and came to rest after stricking a large tree. Zadrozny was prounounced dead at the scene by Westmoreland County Duputy Coroner Gerald Fritz;police said. Mr.Zadrozny was born Oct.25;1951;in Washington Twp.;Fayette County;a son of Anthony and Lorraine Bisher Zadrozny who survive and reside in Belle Vernon. He was employed as a millwright at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen Plant. Born July 18;1898;in North Belle Vernon;he was the son of the late Demas H.and Rachel Browneller Zollars. In addition to his parents;Mr.Zollars was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife;Gladys Allfree Zollars;a daughter;Mrs.Sylvester (Irene) Kosmacki of Donora;three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr.Zollars had resided in Donora for the past four years after living for 22 years in the Belle Vernon community. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Donora.
