Joseph A.Zimmerman;30;of 708 Miles Ave.;Monongahela;was killed at 6:50 a.m. today;Sept.29;when his car ran into the back of another auto on fog-shrouded Interstate 79;one mile south of the Evans City Exit. Zimmerman;who was pronounced dead at the scene;was born July 31;1954;in North Charleroi;a son of the late John Zimmerman and Irma Zimmerman who survives and reside in Belle Vernon. A Belle Vernon man was killed last night when his car ran off the road and struck a large tree in Rostraver Twp. Rostraver Twp.police said the victim;Edward Zadrozny;31;of 327 Green St.;Belle Vernon;was driving south on Route 906 at the River View Roller Arena near the U.S. Locks and Dam No.Four at 10:52 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his car which ran off the berm of the road;traveled approximately 87 feet and came to rest after stricking a large tree. Zadrozny was prounounced dead at the scene by Westmoreland County Duputy Coroner Gerald Fritz;police said. Mr.Zadrozny was born Oct.25;1951;in Washington Twp.;Fayette County;a son of Anthony and Lorraine Bisher Zadrozny who survive and reside in Belle Vernon. He was employed as a millwright at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen Plant. Caleb H.Zollars of Donora Towers;formerly of the Orchard Plan in Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;April 26;1983;at 7:20 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Inc. He was 84. Born July 18;1898;in North Belle Vernon;he was the son of the late Demas H.and Rachel Browneller Zollars. In addition to his parents;Mr.Zollars was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife;Gladys Allfree Zollars;a daughter;Mrs.Sylvester (Irene) Kosmacki of Donora;three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
