Frank S. Zebrak was killed Thursday morning;March 4;1982;at 11:45 a.m.when the family car slid out of control on Route 119 near Marchand (Indiana County) and into the path of a tractor-trailer. His wife;March Lee Rankin Zebrak and his 4 month-old daughter;Audra Lee Zebrak were also killed in the accident.He was 30 years of age and a resident of Eldred R.D.2 (McKean County);Pa. He was born June 10;1951;in Maryland;a son of Frank P. and Anna F. Linkowski Zebrak; of Greensburg;who survive. A U.S.Army veteran;he was employed as the physical director at the YMCA in Olean;N.Y. A graduate of Greensburg-Salem High School in 1969;Mr.Zebrak graduated from Slippery Rock State College in 1979 and had been working on his Master’s degree at the time of his death. He was a member of St.Raphael’s Church in Eldred. In addition to his parents;he is survived by his paternal and maternal grandmothers;Mrs.Ann Zebrak of New Kensington and Mrs.Anna Linkowski of Harwick;Pa.;three brothers;Thomas J.Zebrak;Charles J.Zebrak and Gregory J.Zebrak;all at home;and two sisters;Mrs.John (Valerie Ann) Spataro of Spencer;W.Va.;and Mary;at home. Rhoda Mae (Prentice) Yates;70;of Allenport;beloved wife;mother;grandmother and great-grandmother;died peacefully at home on Friday;Oct.20;2000;with her family at her side. She was born Jan.6;1930;in Charleroi;a daughter of the late William Prentice;who died in 1954 and Catherine (Jackson) Prentice in 1989. She was born and raised in Charleroi and lived in Roscoe and Allenport for many years. She was head majorette of the Charlorettes Drum & Bugle Corp in the late 1940s. Many of her friends in her earlier years knew her as Fuzzy . Mrs. Yates was a member of the Roscoe American Legion Post 801 Auxiliary for many years. She was also an avid bingo and card player for many years. Mrs.Yates was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Survivors include her beloved husband;John Robert Bob Yates;whom she would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on Jan.17;2001.
