Frank Howard Cook;77;of 408 East Schoonmaker avenue;Monessen;died Thursday;January 7;1954;at 11:55 p.m. Mr.Cook had been employed by the Page Steel and Wire Company in Monessen for forty-eight years. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Mary Cook;three sons;Melvin;Leonard and George Fremont of Monessen;four daughters;Mrs.Laelia Hoskinson of Salem;Ohio;Mrs.Carl L.Milsom (Doris) of Rostraver Township;Mrs.Dave McCullough (Virginia) of State College;and Mrs.Joseph Hicks (Marian) of Monessen;sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home in Monessen;between visiting hours of 1 and 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday;January 11;1954;at 2:30 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Lloyd S.Erb. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is the funeral director.

Chaverin;nee Gertrude Lander;of 19 Washington Drive;Monessen;died November 1;1953;at 2 p.m. Mrs.Chaverin was a member of St.Leonard’s R.C.Church;where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Society and had served as organist for a number of years. For the past forty years;she was a teacher of piano in Monessen. She is survived by her husband;Carl R.Chaverin;two sons;C.Lander Chaverin at home;Donn J.Chaverin of Kenmore;New York;one daughter;Mrs.Sanford A. Peabody of Los Angeles;California;one sister;Miss Wilma E.Lander of Monessen;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.;at the Melenyzer Funeral home;262 Donner avenue;Monessen.
