Born in Fairhope;he had lived all his life in the Mon Valley. He moved to Monessen from Charleroi in 1966. Mr.Evans was a carpenter by trade and had been employed as a maintenance man at Brookvale Mfg.Co. in Rostraver Twp.until May 1974. Surviving are his widow;Mary Payton Evans;two sons;Robert R.and Thomas D.;both of Monessen;two sisters;Mrs.Isaac (Hazel) Jenkins of Monongahela R.D.1 and Mrs.James (Olive) Payton of Charleroi;three brothers;Joseph Evans of Charleroi;George Evans of Pricedale and Alden Evans of Donora;10 grandchildren;and a number of nieces and nephews.
