Christina Evans;72;of 215 Johnson Ave.;Pricedale;died Monday;Oct.9;1972;at 2:05 a.m.in the Brownsville General Hospital. Born July 7;1900;in Hungary;Mrs.Evans had been a resident of Pricedale for the last 70 years. She was a member of St. Sebastian R. C. Church; Belle Vernon; the Golden Agers and
Goodwill Club; both of Charleroi; and the Auxiliary of the
Hungarian Beneficial Society; Monessen.
She was preceded in death by
her husband; Stephen in 1963.
Surviving are a son; John G.
of Charleston; S. C.; two daughters; Mrs. Caroline Zeinet of
Cleveland; Ohio; and Donna Marie
at home; a brother; John
Schalk of Boco Raton; Fla.and four
grandchildren.

George Thomas Etheridge;60;of 15102 Fox Rd.;Detroit;Mich.;formerly of Belle Vernon;died unexpectedly Tuesday in LaGrange Hospital in LeGrange;Ga. Born Sept.27;1911;he was a son of the late George and Flora Price Etheridge. He was a retired executive of American Motors in Detroit. He was a member of St.Paul’s Presbyterian Church of Livonia;Mich.;and president of the Western Golf and Country Club of Detroit. Mr.Etheridge served on the Governor’s Commission on Mental Health Statutes Review in Michigan. He was also a director of the Michigan State Association for Retarded Children and was appointed to President Richard M.Nixon’s Special Task Force on Mental Retardation. Surviving are his widow;Ellen Torrance Etheridge;and a son;Michael T.;both of Detroit. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday in the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held at 2 p.m.Friday;with the Rev.Dr.S.Arthur Talman of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon in charge. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.

Services were held Monday;March 15;1971 with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
