Word has been received here of the sudden death of Mrs.Theresa Gilmore;Nebraska avenue;Neville Island;Pittsburgh;on Wednesday;Sept.30;1953;at 5:30 a.m.at her late home. The deceased was born in Belle Vernon and had been a resident there until eight years ago when she removed to Neville Island. Surviving are seven daughters;Mrs.Eliza Ackinclose;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Hazel Maxwell and Mrs.Betty Dunlop;Mrs.Eva Adkins;Paducah;Ky.;Mrs.Geraldine Roush;Ohio;and Margaret and Patricia;both at home;three sons;Theodore;Belle Vernon;and James and Lewis;both at home;a sister;Mrs.Mary Carper;Belle Vernon. Corporal Paul S.Galla;son of Mr.and Mrs.John Galla of Arnold City;Fayette City;R.D.1 died in Korea;Wednesday;September 19;1951. He was born in Rices Landing on August 27;1927;and besides his parents is survived by five brothers;Joseph of Fayette City R.D.;Andrew of Perryopolis;John of Monessen;and George and Eugene at home;and two sisters;Mrs.Edward (Anna) Zimba of Coraopolis and Helen at home. He was a member of St.Edward’s R.C.Church. He joined the Army on October 3;1949;and was a member of Infantry Company L 23rd R.C.T. He was sent to Korea on Jan.5;1951;after undergoing training in this country. His parents were notified on Oct.12;1951;that he was originally listed as missing in action. He was overseas for ten months. His body will arrive at the Pennsylvania Station in Charleroi Wednesday evening;September 9;1953 at 7:04 o’clock. Friends will be received at the McCrory Funeral Home. Prayer there on Saturday September 12;1953;at 9:30 a.m.;will be followed by Solemn High Mass at 10 a.m.;in St.Edward’s R.C.Church;in charge of Rev.Charles W.Ribick.
