She was also a member of the Monessen Order of Eastern Star. One of the district’s oldest residents;Mrs.Harriet (Haddie) Josephine Greene;96;died Friday April 4;1958;at 1:30 at her home;439 Market St.;Belle Vernon. She had been ill for six years. Born in Millsboro;March 4;1862;she was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and a member of the Bible Class of the Sunday School department of the Church. Mrs.Greene had resided in Belle Vernon for over 70 years. Survivors include two sons;the Rev.John Greene;Homer City and Harry Greene;Belle Vernon;five daughters;Mrs.Lucretia Kuhn;Mrs.Deno Carini and Mrs.Albert Price;all of Belle Vernon;Ethel Greene at home and Mrs.William Fisher;North Charleroi;35 grandchildren;65 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. John Guiler of Fairhope;Fayette City;R.D.1;died Wednesday;January 29;1958;at 5:30 p.m.in the Fayette County Hospital. He was born in Westmoreland County on April 6;1881 and was a retired coal miner. Mr.Granlund was born Oct.10;1910 in Fayette City and was employed as a glass worker. He was a World War II veteran;having served in the U.S.Army.
