Frank Kocian of 10 James St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Nov.10;1977;at 10:46 a.m.in Brownsville General Hospital. He was 90. Mr.Kocian was born Sept.15;1887 in Czechosolvakia. He was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley and a lifeling coal miner having retired in 1952. Mr.Kocian was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon;and Jednola Lodge;Branch 155;Charleroi. He was preceded in death by his wife;Mari Janac Kocian;in 1965;a son;Frank Jr.;in 1971;and a daughter;Rose Sedlak;in 1973. He was born in North Charleroi on Feb.5;1956 and worked as a warehouse clerk at Atlas Merchandising Co.in Charleroi. He was a member of the Fayette City Christian Church. He was a retired construction superintendent;having worked for the Surface Combustion Corporation of Toledo;Ohio. Mary B.Kunder;of 1246 Rosecrest Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Dec.24;1976 at 8:30 a.m. in McKeesport Hospital following an illness of several weeks. Mrs.Kunder was born Oct.10;1914 in Monessen and was a resident of the city her entire life. She was a member of St.Anthony’s R.C.Church;Monessen;and its Ladies Guild and the Ladies Auxiliary of Monessen Eagles 2399. She also was a member of the Sokol’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Monessen Democratic Women’s Club. Survivors include her husband;Michael Kunder;three sons;Arthur of Charleroi;Eugene of Atlanta;Ga.;Jack of Monessen;six grandchildren;her mother;Mrs.Mary Konick of Monessen;a sister;Mrs.Frances (Anne) Burger of Monessen;a brother;Charles Konick of Crafton.
